Sasha's POV

I don't have class this afternoon, thankfully. It's Friday, and I only have morning classes on Fridays. It's my favorite day of the week. After I pick up Drew, we always go to McDonald's. Then we spend the rest of the afternoon together.

It's been several days, and Mason will not talk to Josie. He is beyond upset with her. She is trying hard, but he isn't having it.

"Come on Drew, it's time for your nap" I say, walking over to him.

"No no, mommy" he says, pointing his finger at me.

I go over to him, and bend down so I'm eye level with him.

"Andrew Taylor, you do not tell mommy no. It's time for your nap. Hear me?" I ask sternly.

He is a people pleaser like his daddy. He hates when we get upset with him. He has a tender little heart.

He sticks out his lower lip and puts his chin on his chest, looking at his feet.

"Me tay up" he says sadly.

"No" I say, keeping my voice stern.

He looks at me, and has tears silently falling down.

He leans into me, pops his thumb in his mouth, and starts sniffing.

I take his thumb out of his mouth and kiss his cheek.

"Want me to lay with you?" I ask gently.

He gets his dazzling smile back and nods.

"K. Come on, baby" I say, picking him up.

"Me no baby. Me big" he says, offended.

"You are big" I say, kissing his nose and making him giggle.

I end up falling asleep with him, and I don't wake up until I hear Mason and the kids get home.

I come out of the room, and blink.

"Were you sleeping?" Mason asks, feeling my head to make sure I'm ok.

"Yeah. I fell asleep with Drew" I say, kissing his cheek.

"Will you just talk to me already? It's been days" Josie says, slamming her book bag down.

Mason sighs and looks at her. "Talk about what?" He asks

"How you're mad at me."

"What about it?"

"I want you to stop"

Mason rolls his eyes, and goes and gets some chips from the pantry.

"Look, I'm sorry. It won't happen again."

"Ok" he says around a mouthful of chips.

"That's it?" She asks, raising her voice.

"Yeah" he says, taking another chip out of the bag and popping it in his mouth.

"Why are you still pouting? Grow up a little bit."

Mason chuckles humorlessly and shakes his head.

He starts to walk into the living room when she grabs his arm and pulls until he has spun around and is facing her.

"I did it to make you mad. I didn't realize I did it hard enough to hurt you. I felt so awful. I never meant for it to hurt you. I'm sorry" she says, fighting tears.

He sighs and shakes his head. "How could you possibly think that wouldn't hurt me?"

"I don't know. I didn't know I did it that hard.
Please just forgive me."
