Dylan's POV
"Mason, can I spend the night at Colton's?"
"It's a weeknight, Dyl."
"So?"
Mason gives me a hard look. "Is your homework done?"
"No. We were going to work on it together."
"Alex is good with it?"
"What's with the third degree? Can I or not?" I snap.
"I'm sorry?"
Man this guy is a pain. "Can I please stay the night at Colton's? Alex said it was fine and we are doing homework when I get there."
He thinks for a second and then nods. "Yeah, go ahead," he says, kissing my head.
"Thanks" I say as I grab my stuff and walk over. When I get over there, Savannah and Colton are already working on homework.
Alex walks in at the same time I do. He smiles and squeezes my shoulders. "You're spending the night too?"
"Yes sir"
"Just Alex, kid" he smirks.
I get in and he goes right to Lilah, kissing her passionately. The amount of love all of these couples have for each other is nauseating.
"Missed you" he says, wiping some hair out of her face gently.
"Good" she smirks.
"Hey buddy" he says, kissing Colton's head. That sends a pang of jealousy through me. My dad never once gave me a kiss.
"Hey grandpa!" Savannah says, still working on homework.
"A grandpa doesn't even get a smile from his granddaughter?" He asks as he leans over her and gently grabs her cheeks, making her look at him. He kisses her forehead, grinning stupidly at her.
"Well, you're not as interesting as the Boston Tea Party," she says with a straight face.
"Ouch" he says, acting hurt.
"What's for dinner?" He asks as he starts shuffling through the bills on the counter.
"I'm just ordering a pizza"
"Again?"
Lilah glares daggers at him. "Is there a problem?"
"No, I'm just surprised. We've had pizza twice this week."
"I've been gone all damn day. Sorry I don't want to slave over the stove for another two hours," she snaps.
"Woah. What's wrong?"
"Nothing"
"Tell me"
"If I have to hear one more time how unfair it is that he doesn't have his car, I'm going to lose my mind."
Alex glares at Colton
"Have you been giving your mom problems?"
"No sir"
Lilah rolls her eyes.
"Is he telling me the truth?" He asks Lilah.
"I'm just saying, if you're going to dish out a punishment like that, then he can start coming to you about it."
"I agree. I took your car away. Why are you harassing mom about it?"
Colton sighs and slams his pencil down. "Because it's stupid. Losing my car for two months? Dad, that's not fair."
