CHAPTER 36

"It's okay, I'll manage sir."

"It's almost 2 am, come we'll drop you." His mom said. 

Anne looked at Eric with the eyes of I don't want to go but then nodded.

"Eric, are you coming or you'll come tomorrow." His mom asked.

"I'll meet you tomorrow."

"Come back home before 10 am. "

Eric nodded.

Eric and Anne were glancing at each other for the last time, their eyes were holding a look of why this happened with us?

The ride was almost silent except when Anne told them the location. They drop her and she comes back to her room. 

She knocked on the gate but Ava was sleeping, she started knocking it like a maniac, the girl next door came out and gave Anne a disgusting look. 

Finally, Ava opens the door.

"What are you doing here?" She asked while rubbing her eyes.

"Let me come in first."

"Did you two fight? "

"No, his parents were there."

She told her the entire story. Ava was laughing, and suddenly Anne's phone rang.

"Hello"

"Yes I reached"

"BUT..... No, don't come again, we'll meet tomorrow."

"It wasn't your fault"

"It is okay, stop apologizing"

"Good night"

"Me too"

"Bye"

Ava packed herself in a blanket and Anne came in her blanket and hugged her. 

"Let's give each other heat", Ava said. 

Anne kicked her and she fell, "Pervert, open your eyes I am not Nathan".

"Ouccchhh, this is my bed Anne."

"It was your bed, now it's mine."

Ava stood up complaining but it was of no use, she slept on Anne's bed. 

"Ava"

"Hmmmm"

"What was in that bag?"

"Which bag?" Ava said in a sleepy voice. 

"Dumbo the bag which you gave me, you said it was my birthday present."

"Where is that bag now? " Ava got up at the speed of light. 

"It is at Eric's place. "

"His parents didn't see it. Right? "

"Yes"

"Thank God," Ava said while lying down. 

"Tell me what my gift was?"

"Shut up and sleep, check it later. Goodnight"

"But it's my birthday, let us celebrate."

"Are you sleeping by yourself or do I force you to sleep?"

"Good night"

"Good night birthday girl"

They both dozed off.

Eric went to the kitchen to have some water. 

"What just happened?" He thought, "They took her with them.It was her birthday, I wanted to surprise her but my parents surprised both of us."

He was walking to and fro and then he called her. 

"Hello"

"Did you reach?"

"Don't sleep. I am coming to take you."

"I am sorry, it was very embarrassing. I am sorry babe."

"But still I am sorry, sleep now then"

"Good night"

"I love you"

"She must be feeling very awkward."He thought and started planning his day for tomorrow and dozed off.
