" Wow! It's surprisingly big!"

" Well, there are a lot of Adventurers here in this town so, the main room of the guild can fit around 600 people at a time. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the 2nd floor can fit another 100 visitors outside of the staff of the Guild."

Jessie explained why it was that the Phoenix Tail Adventurers Guild was the size it was. It's even bigger than the Guild in Whitestone, the capital of Promethia. It really puts into perspective how important Adventurers are here in Phoenix Tail. From what I've read about this city, the town is protected mostly by Adventurers that are hired by the government of Promethia via the Adventurers Guild. Apparently, it's a great way for C-Rank and above Adventurers to make a solid living with a pretty good salary, it's only slightly less than a regular fully trained solider. And unlike the soldiers, the Adventurers are on a rotation schedule, so they can return to doing quests in their down time. It's an arrangement that everyone seems quite happy with. Taking a final gaze at the building, I'm reminded of big factories in big cities back in my world. Only the Guild building was made of strong brown wood with red accents. The entrance was made up of 2 giant white doors that seemed to be dyed wood. Just above the doors was a sign that read " Adventurers Guild" in giant red letters. It was quite eye catching.

" Now then, enough gawking at the building, let's head in."

Jessie began to walk forward towards the giant white doors as he called for our attention. We quickly followed behind him since he knew his way around the place.

" Wow... It's a lot nicer than the Capital's."

Luke couldn't hold back his thoughts. We've all been to the Adventurers Guild in Whitestone, but it feels more like an office rather than walking into what looks like a bar and restaurant inside. It was quite jovial; people were carrying on as if it was a big party. Well... That was until they all saw us walking into the Guild. One man stepped forward, he was tall, but very fat, but you can see that behind the fat was solid muscle. The man was bald and was tanned quite brown, it gave the idea that he's spent a lot of time in the sun. He began to form quite a wide cheshire-like grin as Jessie walked closer and closer to him.

" Well, well, well... Jessie! How've you been?"

Jessie moves closer to the man and brings his hand out in front of him in anticipation of a handshake, the man made the same movement and before long they had brought their hands together and wrapped their arms around each other's backs.

" Chet! I've been pretty alright! How about yourself!?"

" Ah! You know how it is! There's always a new batch of Adventurers to teach! Speaking of which, are these kids who I think they are?"

The man... Chet. Looked at us behind Jessie, it looks like he knows who we are. While Chet might've known who we were, the rest of the Guild seemed curious. Jessie could see that our group had taken most of the attention in the Guild Hall and seemed to just accept it.

" Yeah, it's the Hero Party."

Jessie in an almost easygoing fashion admitted to who we were. This went as I expected it to.

" The Hero?..."

" They actually came?..."

" Maybe they're looking for glory?..."

" They did fail at Diablos, didn't they?..."

" Well, they almost succeeded in Atheis, right?..."

" It's still in ruin and rubble though?..."

A bunch of murmuring had begun all around us. It looks like the Adventurers weren't like the townspeople since most of the Adventurers were looking at us with eyes of pity and sympathy. There were only a few that looked at us with disbelief or dislike. Maybe we should take solace in that?
