Chapter 544. Ending To A Fight

I... Is he still alive?

" Kakh.... Ah..."

Yup! With the sound of him still breathing, I quickly took out another pair of the handcuffs I had on my person and grabbed Morgan's hands.

/ Ka-chink!/

And with the satisfying sound of the cuffs locking around his wrists, I felt a strong sense of victory today.

" Look at you, due to a mistake and your subordinates, you were able to lock us up and you're acting like it was done by your own hand. Tell me, do you believe the sun comes up in the morning because of your presence on this planet as well?"

Seems Lee is a sore loser. Or at least that's what I think judging by the way he's looking at me right now. I suppose I can let him say what he wants, I wouldn't know much about how he feels right now, since I was unconscious for the whole time back to Alfheim, thanks to the Elves Magics. So realizing you've been captured after being defeated in battle isn't something I'm too familiar with. I mean, I didn't even fight when I was captured, I protected everyone at the table and then woke up in a cell.

/ Swoosh!/

" Lord Matthew, I see you finished your fight before we did."

Edmon had appeared next to me, I heard his arrival, but not his footsteps, I looked at him and could see that he was looking at Lieutenant Bobby for some reason. Lieutenant Bobby looked away from him, almost like he was proven wrong about something and didn't want to look back at Edmon... What the hell happened during their battle? I shook my head, it didn't really matter at this point, after all, I doubt Edmon or I will ever see Lieutenant Bobby again after this.

" Huh? You didn't finish your fight before us then?"

" Huh? Oh, no. I did. I was thinking about something else. You both did a great job beating Morgan as well, so now all we need to do to finish this is let our troops fight and help where we can. To serve that, I think it'll be okay for you both to go and do as you wish for now. You can run wild and help finish the fight, I'll stay here and make sure the Elves don't attempt to escape."

" I don't mind that, but are you sure that'll be okay, Sir? Guarding them alone I mean?"

Lieutenant Bobby seemed to distrust me somewhat. I quickly tried to explain that it was fine and he could trust me, but as the words were about to escape my mouth, I heard another noise.

/ Swoosh! Swoosh!/

Not just one noise, but 2. I looked at the origin of the sound and I couldn't help but smile at my 2 visitors.

" My Love! The Loves of your life have finally returned! I know, you must've missed us terribly!"

" Sarah... Maybe we shouldn't be that dramatic... At least in front of the enemy, if not that, then our  own soldiers."

Sarah and Anna had made it back to me, which, if everything went the way my plan said it would, means that their squads are about to meet back up with us and help with the fight here.

" My Love!"

" Darling!"

* Grip! Grip!*

" Huh? What's the matter?"

Just as I was beginning to feel relieved somewhat, Sarah and Anna quickly grabbed onto my arms with looks of concern on their faces. I was confused so I asked what it was that made them so worried.
