I can't help but laugh... This power! It's coursing through me! I feel so... So GOOD! Finally! We're on an even playing field! She cheated and the Gods have blessed me with my own advantage! The demon has no idea what to do, she's just sitting there, glowing brown as I begin to walk towards her. She had flown backwards as my mana burst forth from my body. The Gods have blessed me with great strength, all because I decided to agree to the Research Division's new idea. A simple surgery and I'd be given the ability to be strengthened several times over, heal from all wounds and even feel no pain. What a deal! I didn't even look at the rest of the proposal before I signed up. A short surgery later and now I'm like this!? How could anyone turn it down!? Lee was a fool to turn his nose up at it! What did they call it? Lyn... No, Lift Pin, right? What a great invention! Now, to crush this worthless demon into dust!
/ SWOOsh! Swoosh! SwOoSh!/
" Hm?"
My Arrows? I launched them... But they felt different? My mana control? It was off? Why?
/ Thoom! Thoom! Thoom!/
" Tsk!"
All I could do was click my tongue, the demon dodged them... The soil they hit were now deep craters... The 3 Arrows I sent were all elementary Water, Earth and Fire Magic yet they were so clumsy I could laugh... But it wasn't due to any fault of my own, the Arrows were unbalanced, they wobbled as they flew to her, it's the Arrow's fault, not mine. It's vexing though, I'm sure she's quite proud of dodging them... Annoying... Though... If such normal Magic Arrows caused such big explosions, I guess I should be trying to make even bigger explosions? I'm sure I'll catch her with one of them. And if that's the case, it's time to change the heads of the Arrows as well. From the normal heads, to the Broadheads, they're powerful, destructive, perfect for eviscerating a demon.
/ Rumble.../
" Oh oh..."
I could feel the smile forming on my face, the mana that I channeled into the Arrow, it's growing heavier and heavier... I'm growing stronger and stronger, and I didn't even notice... This is great!
/ Rumble! Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!/
Small rumblings of mana began to fill my senses as I summon 10s of Arrows all with Broadheads. They're all sitting and waiting for me to fire, the demon is too shocked to do anything, I don't care how she might hide her emotions on her face, the fact that she hasn't moved is proof enough that she's peeing herself in fear! This fight is going to end in one move!
/ Swoosh!/
I send the first of many Arrows at her, I want to see this demon squirm and dance to my tune! She needs to pay for the lengths she's made me go to in order to punish her for cheating so much!
/ Thoom!/
" Stop dodging it!"
Dammit! I took her spear from her hands; she should've lost any ability to survive against my Arrows! But now she has the gall to start dodging my attacks!? The disrespect is intolerable!
/ Swoosh! SwoosH! SWOOsh! SwooSH!/
I send a few Arrows at her, I can't let her sit and relax, dammit! She was supposed to be too scared to move! Are you trying to say that I was wrong!? Impossible! I've only ever been wrong once before! And it was because Colonel Fairsword was able to fool me with his acting! It's impossible to think that gutter trash like a demon would be able to outthink me! She's just using the rest of her strength to live as long as she can.
