" Then I need to leave right now!"

" Slow down, Matthew. Don't be rash, listen to what we just said."

I was jumpy... The news... I was shocked by it, I can't believe that something like this had happened... As I was reeling from what King Leonard had just said. Charlotte tried to calm me down, but my mind was going a mile a minute.

" Seriously Matthew. Calm yourself for a minute. I think you misheard him."

" I didn't Del. He said that the Western Border is under attack right now! It's most likely going to be put under siege. I'm going to need to head back to Paradise incase they try to attack us. Also in case Warrick or Aqua need me for something. I need to prepare!"

" This message came from the Eastern Border of Diablos, Matthew. That means that King Warrick and Queen Aqua most likely haven't even gotten the message yet. For now, take a breath and lets think about this for a moment."

Del tried to calm me down next, he asked for King Leonard to repeated himself, but I didn't need him to. What King Leonard said was loud and clear. The Western Border was attacked by the Elves and the assault was bad enough to where they quickly sent aid requests to anyone that could read the letter. The letter we've received was dated 4 days ago. Who's to say the Western Border is even still standing? I need to get back so when Warrick and Aqua decide what to do, we can put the full force of everything we have against the Elves. I tried calming myself down and I was trying to slow my thoughts, Lady Kate began to speak to me.

" Marquess Matthew, why are you so unnerved by this?"

Her calling me by Matthew made my mind stop running for a few seconds... I guess she was trying to break through everything going through my mind. The question made me think. Not so much about the reasons... But how to explain them to someone who I haven't interacted that much... I guess I should start with the first thing that popped into my mind from her question.

" The reason why I'm this... Worried is the fact that if they can sneak up and attack the Western Border, imagine what they could do to a town that isn't behind a giant wall... Like Paradise."

" Why do you think that they would do that, Marquess Matthew?"

Lady Kate seemed lost at why I would think that... Did she not know about why I even visited Darkheim for the first time? Either way, I could explain it really quickly.

" The Elves attacked us once before. At first we thought they were attacking a traveling group of Humans, but a week ago, we found a cabin that they were most likely using as a base of operations. They were observing me for some reason. When I made contact with the Human travelers, the Elves launched an attack against them and me. I survived. That attack was what led to me arriving in Darkheim for the first time. Not only that, but there's a glaring issue when it comes to Paradise..."

" What would that be?"

Lady Kate didn't seem to know...

" Paradise currently has 2 Princesses of Diablos, a Princess of Bestia, A Duke's daughter of Diablos and a Baron's daughter. If Charlotte was also there, that's also a Dark Elf Princess. They're all targets for the Elves since they're important members of the Aristocracy of our Alliance's countries. Now I get why the parents were so hellbent on not letting them come to Paradise before... Dammit..."

" Again, Matthew, relax, do you think your people are that weak? Haven't you said yourself that Charlotte had turned your militia into a true army?"

King Leonard asked me a question... I just answered honestly...
