" Nyeeehhhh!"

" Easy boy, I know, I know... But it's alright, after this is flat grassland and forested areas."

I pat the Demonic Horse I was using as a steed as we made our way further West towards the Elf Cave. It's been a few hours since we started our journey, apparently, it'll take 4 days to get to our destination, that was fine in my book, more time to think about battle strategies. Granted, that's if I can make it without falling off of this horse that's been provided by the Western Border Stables... If it wasn't for Chief Sharp's assurance that this was a good horse, I'd think I'd been given the most temperamental horse they had. Though maybe it's just the terrain?

/ Clip! Clop! Clip! Clop!/

" Yeah, there you go, just keep going straight... There we go..."

Finally, we were able to pass the crevice that had my horse so spooked, I hoped that the crevice was the last one we had to deal with, we already passed 5 so far. We were in a somewhat mountainous region. It wasn't too bad; it's not like my horse has stepped on anything and the ground fell into an abyss. Granted, I still had to get off of him and lead him by his reins. Now that we were past it though, I could see that the horse was beginning to calm down.

" You're having quite a bit of trouble, aren't you, Darling?"

Just as I was patting my horse to help him relax as I led him further and further from the trail we just walked, Anna had arrived, she was riding her horse through the path that I just had to struggle pulling my horse through the trail.

" Compared to you? Yeah."

Anna quickly made her horse gallop over to where I was. It looks like she was able to get ahead of Sarah when it came to the path. The path was pretty small, to the point where not many could pass through at the same time, eventually, we settled on going single file for everyone with horses, which more or less meant every Commanding Officer had to go by themselves before the rank-and-file soldiers began to walk through it after us. Granted, this didn't mean I was the first one to walk through.

/ THUMP!/

" Ah, good! You both made it over!"

Just as I was thinking about it, the actual first person to walk... Gallop over the path had shown back up.

" Sarah, you really put me in a spot there, you know? Along with you Flare! Ruby was barely able to string a sentence together before I started walking over."

" Sorry! But someone had to follow her! And Big Sis is bad with other horses besides Flameheart."

Flare offered an apology that I could accept, but as for her Big Sister who would be arriving shortly... Well, maybe a battle before the one with the Elves will happen? Anyways, as someone could guess, without overthinking it, Sarah quickly ran ahead of us with her horse and with what looked like complete mastery over her horse, she quickly made it through. Flare followed after her as I had trouble getting my horse to walk forward. I guess they both went ahead to take a look around the place to see if there were any enemies.

" So, did you find anything around here?"

" Oh? See, I told you he would know what we were doing!"

I asked Sarah if she found anything and instead of answering me, she turned to Flare and seemed to be gloating.

" Yes, yes, how lovely it must be to be married to your soulmate."

" Hm! As long as you understand!"

Sarah seemed extremely proud of something. If I had to guess, she mentioned taking a look around and Flare said it'd be a bad idea, then she said it'd be fine because I'd know what they were doing. After gloating with a giant smile on her face, Sarah looked back at me and finally began to answer my question.
