Chapter 445. Executions Will Not Be Tolerated

                                                                Anna Ericsson's Point Of View

" So, let me get this right, Adam. You've heard that Marquess Matthew Drake is abusive towards his wives, Sarah and Ms. Anna. With that, you noticed that An was in a foul mood, and then she mentioned that Matthew was here, so you rushed into the gym and attempted to spar him, then, when you won the fight, you'd demand him to divorce Sarah. Is that right?"

" Y... Yes, Father..."

King Alan had begun to question Prince Adam about his outburst after losing the sparring match to John. Currently, we were sitting in the official meeting room used the Kings of Bestia and his Advisors since the creation of this castle in Canidae, one of the 2 capital cities, the other, Felidae, has a royal castle which wouldn't lose to this castle's grandeur. Both castles having housed Kings and their families for generation after generation. Having said that, the decor is quite beautiful with works of arts all around and gold and silver accented furniture all around. However, currently the situation wouldn't allow the people in this room any kind of comfort. The people in this room, King Alan, Queen Aria, Queen Andrea, King Warick, Aqua, Cyn, Prince Adam, Alice, Sarah and I were all in this meeting room, sitting at a round table with chairs that were still empty, even if all of our group were here, there'd still be around 10 or 15 chairs that were empty. It just goes to show how large of a table and how big of a responsibility the people who discuss topics at this table actually have. As for the rest of our group, they decided to watch over John as they felt it wrong for him to wake up all alone in a strange bed and room. Also, I believe they all just saved Sarah and I the trouble of asking them to watch over him in case any Beastmen get any funny ideas while he sleeps.

" This is something that cannot stand! He was about to kill our son, Al! It shouldn't matter what was said! He was about to attack our son like some kind of untamed beast!"

" Why did he want to, though, An? Where the hell did he get this idea that Matthew was abusing Sarah or Anna? It's obvious that the kid thinks the world of his wives the moment you see him interact with them! Do you have any idea how infuriating something like what was said to him would make him feel? It didn't help that Adam obviously had a dislike for the boy."

" Because he hurt Big Sis Sarah!"

/ RUMBLE!/

Sarah has always found it hard to control her mana ever since becoming a Calamity Spear Demon, she's not the only one who's anger is beginning to boil over, however. Regardless, I felt it pertinent to warn Sarah at this point in time. After all, the Mars Family is something close to family for her. 

" Sarah, you need to control yourself."

I calmly spoke to Sarah as her Calamity Mana began to pour out of her. Soon the mana began to dissipate.

" Right, I'm sorry Anna. You're feeling this just as much aren't you?"

I nodded to Sarah's question. The fact that I've been able to hold myself back should be marked as quite the achievement. It seems that with my warning to Sarah, the conversation has shifted back to the first topic. In the end, it's somewhat meaningless to argue their points over and over again. After Aqua had put John to sleep so he would stop leaking his obvious and deserved killing intent, Queen Andrea began to scream for his head. Before Sarah and I could move into action, King Warrick placed his hand up to stop us. I have to wonder if he and Aqua had planned for something like this to happen. If so, what's the end game here? It's not like Queen Andrea will forget her grudges against Humans, whether she experienced it firsthand or inherited the grudges, they seem to be too deeply ingrained in her spirit for that.

" Do you even see what's in front of your eyes, An? Adam? She's insulted that you would even think that he would harm her or her sister wife. How can you still even think that he'd do something like that? Did you even think to ask?"
