John Ericsson's Point Of View
" You fucking idiot! I told you to stay put here, didn't I! Did you forget!?"
" N... No... It's... Just..."
" Just what!? Did you think I was going to leave us all as sitting ducks here!? I'm fucking here too, Jackass! You nearly got everyone killed!"
" Bu... I didn't know..."
" Your job isn't to know! Does Chief Sharp or General Crest inform you personally about what their plans are? Or you do you just listen to the orders from your superiors!?"
" I listen to orders..."
" Then what the hell changed now!?"
" Y...You..."
I held his hand as he answered my question... Of course... I'm a Human... Why listen to the Human that's trying to win you this battle without taking major losses, that makes too much fucking sense doesn't it!? He's looking at me like a confused puppy now... Damn he's heavy...
/ Woosh! Thump!/
" Gil! Close it now! Please!"
" You got it, Kid!"
I hear my mana begin to pour out of my body as Holy Mana Body activated, with my strength increased, I could finally pull him out... Anna's water landed in the hole we dug... I quickly pulled Lieutenant Bobby up out of the hole and threw him behind me, I then made the Barrier shift and brought the sword that he had let go of land on the ground up here with us as well. Lieutenant Bobby landed in his original position next to Edmon. I quickly turned to Gil and asked him to finish the plan. He quickly closed the hole... Good... That means at least one problem is solved. I turned around to look at Lieutenant Bobby and all of the Demons who were charging until just a moment ago along with Lieutenant Bobby.
" You all are fools! Your Commander told you to stay put and you didn't listen! Don't you all understand how foolish that was!?"
They were all silent as I spoke... I was nearly lost in my anger at them, but I... No... Now isn't the time for that, I just need to get it through their thick skulls that I'm not against them. I thought it would be enough just for them to enact my plans, the ones who rushed to attack the Elves did as I wanted them to, but these ones.... Why didn't I just bring my people from Paradise? Things would've went a lot more smoothly.
" Just because I'm a Human..."
Through gritted teeth the reason I came to for why they didn't listen to me came slipping through. Again, my anger was building... How much longer am I going to have to go through something like this? What about my kids? Should I change my plans from making them happy I'm here to fearing me? Should I just be as idiotically cruel as they are to me? Before they have a chance to do it to my kids in the future? Should I start it here? The Elves aren't truly an issue anymore...
* Grip.*
" Kid, they're foolish yes, but you need to relax and think straight, look at that kid Bobby, the look in his eyes have changed. You've stuck to a difficult path so far, to do what you're thinking about would mean that all of that would be in vain. Everyone in Paradise would probably think you duped them. You don't want that, right?"
" N... No... No, I don't want that.
Just as I was beginning to think about it... Going down the wrong path. I felt a large, warm, rough hand on my shoulder, I turned my head to see that it was Gil. He began to talk to me... And from what he said... He was right... I can't change them through fear... It wouldn't work... My kids won't be happy if they had a father like that. I don't want to put them through that... I took a deep breath and then...
