Chapter 458. Apologies And Forceful Dinners

The situation I was in was something I couldn't imagine happening before, I mean, Prince Adam... Was apologizing to me... Face to face... And he was noticeably...

" Huh? Oh... I accept your apology, Prince Adam... I also made mistakes, I hope you can forgive me for my transgressions as well."

Alice, who was standing between us poked me in the arm so I could say my part of the conversation. I was still a bit lost from what we'd been told after she entered the room as I was explaining what I planned on doing for the the whole " trying to kill a Prince" thing that I did before Aqua put me to sleep. To make a long story short. The Queen and Prince were willing to forgive me and the Prince even wanted to apologize to me. With Alice's announcement we all were pretty happy with the news. Everyone seemed to breathe a sigh of relief. Alice said to go with her so we could put this all behind us... And that's when my brain became somewhat scrambled... I mean... As soon as I walked into the room, I was greeted by a boy, around the age of 8 with the brown hair and grey eyes of Prince Adam was here. But unlike Prince Adam, this kid looked like a lost school kid in the royal palace. But he acted the same as Prince Adam. It wasn't until Alice said something that I understood that he was Prince Adam.

" Oh, Adam, your transformation wore off, didn't it?"

" Yeah, I can't control it very well yet, I can only keep it going for about 4 hours, but the sparring seemed to shorten the time considerably..."

/ Wiggle!/

" What?"

We were all in the conference room where Sarah, Anna, Cynthia and Alice had left the members of Royalty to come to the room where I was... though I guess now we all made our way back to it anyways. Prince Adam was the only person currently standing... He was still dressed in all of the same clothes and he looked pretty much the same but... Now The kid... I mean, Prince Adam... He's a kid now? I thought he was a little older than me? Also...

His... Big animal ears that were like a large dog's, kept wiggling around as he spoke. It made me want to pet him... But wait, this isn't the time for this. Anyways, he noticed I was staring at him, but I guess he thought it was because I was expecting an apology to be the first thing for him to say. In actuality, I was just surprised by what it was I was seeing. I thought he was our age... But it looks like I was wrong?

" How old are you, Prince Adam?"

" I'm 11, Marquess Matthew."

" I see... I thought you were... Older than me based on your appearance from before..."

" Yes, well, my Job is a bit special in that I have access to a few transformations... One of them allows me to transform to a possible adult version of myself."

" Possible?"

" Yes, say I stopped training and I just sat around all day and did nothing but eat sweets and the like, I'm sure the transformation would show me as being a fat man in my future. But I try to stick to what I'll look like, since my Mothers both tell me that I look like Father when I transform!"

" Oh, I see. Well... Now that I can understand that... Thank you for the apology and I hope we can get along in the future..."

I offered my hand to Prince Adam to shake on it and make it official, but he looked at me with a confused look. Now that I think about it, he said he was 11... Also he's from Royalty. And it looks like dislike for me runs in the family as well as not knowing how to make up with someone. I would almost fear for their future friends if not for me.
