                                                                    Anna Ericsson's Point Of View

" Saa.... Suuu..."

" It's amazing that he can sleep so soundly..."

" It's only because we're here, Sarah."

" I know, but still... Maybe I should pinch his cheek just a little?"

" Don't be upset that the " punishment" that you were so happy to inflict got turned around on you. I even got caught up in it."

" Did you just say " caught up in it"? I seem to recall someone being quite happy when their turn came up, am I misremembering by chance?"

" I never said I regretted it. But I did think we'd be able to get a good, long night's rest for tomorrow, but that ship has sailed hasn't it?"

" That might be true... Honestly though, I think we could sleep in, I mean we have 3 days to prepare and to be honest... We needed this."

Sarah exhaled softly as she laid back onto her pillow. It was the middle of the night now, Sarah and I had just woken up from taking a small nap after falling asleep after John used his " Brute Mode" for us. He's sealed it away for a while now, ever since Alice charged into our room that night. But now, since we were away in a room that no one was able to enter thanks to Sarah and I's combined magics, along with the fact that no one would attempt to interrupt us, we were able to convince him to unlock the seal. It was only after Sarah and I reminded him that we were the only 3 people on this floor that he finally relented, but a win is a win, isn't it? And to be honest, we needed the refreshment, especially after spending so long looking over the reports that were given to us.

" Honestly, it almost makes the long journey worth it... I wonder if we can find a way to have him do that again back in Paradise, I mean, Alice would probably want to join us if she saw him using Brute Mode again..."

As Sarah began to stretch her arms and back as she laid down, she began to think out loud to herself... Well, it's not really out loud, it's in our minds, we've been using the Telepathy Spell that Aqua taught us. This way we didn't interrupt John's sleeping. If he's awake and not eating, then that means that he's working in someway shape or form, the only times he seems to truly relax is when he's in our marital bed. That or when he's making the face he is now, not worrying about the piles of work in the immediate future, not worried about the faceless enemies hiding in the shadows, not worried about if the next business idea or city development plan would work, just at peace, between Sarah and I, where he belongs!... No, I need to calm down, getting serious now would only waken John from his sleep. And he's sleeping so peacefully now. I don't want to disturb that. He needs his rest. Thinking back on what Sarah had said, a thought did come to my mind. It made me wonder about what to do moving forward, since we hadn't actually discussed it.

" Speaking of that, we haven't discussed how it is going to work, have we?"

" What do you mean?"

" Well, our First Times were shared together on our Wedding Night and since then... It's always been together hasn't it? Regardless, what about Alice? Will we be there, or should we let them spend the night alone?"

Sarah thought for a moment and I could see the question was something that she also, hadn't thought about much as well. After a few minutes, she explained what she was thinking to me.

" I think the only way it's going to work is to let Alice have him for the night... I mean, it will be their Wedding Night as well won't it? The reason we shared him that night was because it was ours, it only makes sense that she gets that same right... Though after a while, it did become a habit didn't it? Do you think we should start having one on one nights with him, Anna?"

Sarah asked me a question as well now... I'm not going to deny the idea that I've thought about it, but to actually go through with it...

" I suppose that wouldn't be a bad idea? Would you be alright with that, Sarah?"

" Well, I'm sure it'll be a different kind of feeling, but overall, I suppose it wouldn't be bad, we'd need to make a schedule though... However, we would also need to have nights where we're all together like this, since we know that he enjoys it, even if he doesn't say it."

" That's true... So Alice will probably be the first one to have him all to herself, won't she?"

" Yes, that's how we'll broach the idea to him. I don't think he'll be against it... Though it will make sleeping all together a bit weirder... Maybe instead of having him at night, we'll schedule a time in the afternoon or early evening? We'll need to think through a couple of things no doubt, but what's important is that we have a system, without one, it'll just be everyone vying for his attention even when he's trying to focus on his work for Our Family's Future... We can't have that..."

Sarah continued to speak, but it was a bit too early to really think through this idea.

" Let's put a hold on this discussion for now, we'll bring it up at the next Alliance meeting, so that way everyone can have a say."

" That sounds fine... Say, Anna, what did you think of the reports? I know he said to sleep on it, but we're probably going to be up a bit longer, aren't we?"

" I suppose you're right."

Sarah began to ask about the reports that we began to read through after dinner. The information was somewhat informative. From descriptions of the terrain and the Wild Monsters that one might expect to find as they make the trek to the cave that the Elves were using as their base. Along with that, it had the information that the soldiers were able to find out about the Elves, their abilities and so on. It was helpful, from what we can gather, it looks as if the leader of the Elves, Garth Fairsword was a clever man, he was able to use the terrain to ambush several groups of soldiers that were investigating their whereabouts, not just that, but the map that was shown in the reports indicated that the Elves ambushed the soldiers farther and farther away from their actual hideout. This caused the soldiers to completely ignore the cave for a majority of the search. The answer to where the Elves were hiding was found by accident it seems. Lieutenant Miles was lousy with directions. He ended up leading his men in the complete opposite direction from where he was ordered to go. None of the men in his squad outranked him, so all they did was walk behind him... Until the magic and arrows began to assault them. From the surprise assault, they saw that more and more Elves began to pour out of a cave entrance in a very panicked manner. And all of them chased down the men like their lives depended on it. Eventually, our soldiers had a choice to make, make a stand, or run, eventually, they decided on doing both. Lieutenant Miles and Private Harris were the ones chosen to flee while the others stayed to buy them time. So far, none of the men had returned and the official report lists them as killed in action. It's sad to see, but that is the nature of war. But from their sacrifice a chance had come. Not for our military or the country, but something much more important, a chance for John to enact his plan that he's decided to make a reality after realizing that he was going to dragged into the fighting no matter what was said or if he tried to resist.

" As for the reports. It was all the same as Chief Sharp said, though I did find it amusing how we ended up finding out about the cave."

" Yes, to think we have bad navigational skills is quite funny... What about your target? We already know that he'll be aiming for that Fairsword fool, but did anyone stick out to you?"

" There's one that acted as a leader that can control the air around them to make arrows that carry different effects. I thought that sounded like a fun test."

" Indeed, I saw that there's a Sword Master that only answers to Fairsword. I think that'll be a good test for me."

Sarah and I looked at each other with smiles on our faces. Just because we're here to show our domestic enemies where they could shove their anger at Our Husband, that doesn't mean we can't have a little fun as well. Sarah and I have grown by leaps and bounds since unlocking our New Jobs. We were handicapped by the fact that our enemy was a God in Zana, but here, among fellow mortals, we can finally figure out where we stand exactly, and our Demon blood was more than happy to fight and find that exact thing out during the campaign.
