" I assure you, I'll crack open your skull like an egg with it... In time..."
" Oh, you sound so confident."
/ Thump! Woosh!/
" That's because I'm the confident one. And don't worry about your head, I'll be cutting through your heart!"
I clashed with the Elf, I wanted to feel his strength once before I decided if I needed to use a different Goddess's Aura to battle him, but from the one clash, I can tell that keeping the Earth Goddess's Aura activated will be the best option for now. I thought for a moment that the Underworld Goddess's Aura would be the better option, but I could use the enhancement to my strength that the Earth Goddess gives me... And the Defense will also be helpful. The Elf's strength... Even with John's spell and my own abilities that are being enhanced with the Earth Goddess's Aura, he's able to tie me in strength... It's impressive... But something tells me that there's more that he's not showing.

Sarah nodded to me after I answered her and off we went. The Elf, who had been struck by the back end of Sarah's halberd, had finally made it back to his feet. Sarah and I weren't about to let him reestablish his rhythm.

" I'm getting very sick of the both of you demons."
He stopped Sarah's slashing attack with her halberd, but that didn't mean I wasn't able to attack.
/ Thump! Flap!/
I quickly passed Sarah's side as I ran as fast as I could, it was almost too fast, the additional acceleration from John's spell almost overwhelmed my vision, everything was blurry for a split second as I passed Sarah's position and placed myself in-between them. It didn't take a split second to let my instincts take over, the ends of my quarterstaff moved before I even thought about the positioning of the strike.
" !"
/ Thwack!/
" Damn."
Sarah said the word that I was thinking of as we both saw what the Elf did. He saw my quarterstaff about to strike him in the temple, he quickly brought his hand up to his head and my attack struck the Elf's hand and sent him flying in the opposite direction.
