" Are you sure you don't want to go?"

" Yes, Anna and I want to spend the day with Cynthia and the rest. Just don't take too long to get back to us, okay?"

" Got it..."

With Sarah and Anna's agreement, I opened a portal thanks to Paula, Charlotte and I walk through it and we arrived in the guest room in the Darkheim Royal Palace. I thought that it was somewhat strange to be visiting Darkheim without Sarah and Anna, but they insisted that it was no big deal since I was only delivering Ryan's jewel and asking for a small team to investigate the cabin. I could see why they would rather stay at home and relax for the day. Like I said previously, with Sarah and Anna not coming, the only person with me was Charlotte, since she wanted to visit her family. I didn't see a good reason not to, I mean, she's always done her best at her job as the Chief Of Staff. Thanks to her, the people who work as City Guards and our private militia have gone from just a ragtag group of Demons to an actual functioning military-esque organization. That's more or less the entire reason why I could create the Outpost System that I thought up... Well, it also takes advantage of the fact that I have all of Paradise's unwavering loyalty. I can trust that they'll do as I command if I need them to. Granted, the Outposts are mostly for defensive and support purposes, so it's not like I'm going to make them do anything horrific.

" Wow..."

Charlotte was taking a nice long look around at the room.

" Do you miss it?"

I asked her what I thought she might've been thinking about.

" Miss... I guess? But I'm glad to be gone from here for the most part. Besides, if I ever get too homesick, you'll open a portal for me, won't you?"

" As long as your paperwork is up to date."

" Really?"

" Hey, I am a Town Lord, I need the paperwork... No matter how much I'd rather not have to do it..."

Charlotte and I have been able to bond over our shared hatred of paperwork... Honestly, it feels never ending... Regardless, I guess I don't need to worry about her trying to run back home if she always knows she's just a question away from me being able to let her visit her home again.

/ Clunk!/

" Ah! Char! Matthew! You guys are early!"

Prince Delcan was the first person to see us since we arrived. He said we were early, but it only took him a minute to enter the room after we arrived. Behind him were 3 guards I didn't remember seeing back when I first visited Darkheim... Or I guess I should call it Underdark, since that's the actual name? I end up just calling the town Underdark, Darkheim in my head... Maybe I should correct that habit before I end up offending King Leonard somehow? Anyways, Prince Delcan after greeting us, happily walked over and was all smiles. It's quite the change considering how I originally met him.

" Sis, you look great. Stronger, even?"

" Yes, we've been sparring and training quite a lot. I've been fighting a lot of people because of my job! Not just that, but Matthew and everyone else has repossessed themselves during our training."

" Right... Is it because of that kidnapping?"

Prince Delcan turned to me to answer the question.

" Well, I'm not going to say that I didn't need to train. That whole situation made me realize I've been spending too much time focused on the development of my Fief and Town and not enough on my own personal growth. I ended up sparring Prince Adam from Bestia and ended up unlocking 4 Skills from it."
