John Ericsson's Point Of View
" Okay, I'm bringing down the Barrier now. Are you all ready?"
" Yes!"
" Okay."
With that, I opened the Barrier and we all stepped out into the wasteland made by the Elves and their tanks... Seriously... I still can't believe that they have them... I mean... How? Did they transfer them from my world? Did they add the spells to make it a Magical Device? Are the Elves really that skilled in magic? I mean, Warrick nearly died to bring me here and that was including Promethia using their Summoning Magic to bring Luke and the others here, if they Aqua's spell still posed that much risk to Warrick, who's blood she used as a catalyst for the spell... What the hell did the Elves use to find tanks? Even crazier, who the hell weaved the spell? Was it the King or Queen of Alfheim? Or one of the leaders of those 2 factions that have the best fighters? That's the only way I could see them being able to have tanks. Either way, walking out into the field, I can see just how effective they are. This must be like when tanks first appeared on the battlefield, so many dead bodies, limbs and the screams and cries of pain from Demons that were caught in the explosions.
" Now that the smoke's clear... I almost want it back..."
Flare was the first to speak after looking at everything around us... Some were moving, others weren't. I quickly brought my hands up and I began to channel my mana.
" Holy Heal!"
I spread my mana as far I could and cast Holy Heal. Though this time, I added a small twist to the spell, it was an experiment that I wasn't sure would work, but my mana responded and so did both Spells when I activated them. I could feel the spell move all around me and then rushing out in all directions. The number of recipients wasn't something I could count, but I could feel that they were healing up. Good... I think at most, it's around a mile all around me in every direction, that should heal up a decent amount of Demons, before long, they began to pop up off of the ground one by one.
" Okay, that's a good amount, Sarah, Anna, Ruby, Flare, go ahead, remember, your safety, then the tanks."
" You know, you really are shameless, you know that?"
" Hm?"
Flare said something strange to me, I didn't quite get it.
" That look of not understanding what I meant... Tell me... How do you 3 handle that?"
" He'll always find his way back to me, so it's fine."
" He always pulls through."
" I'm beginning to get just as fed up, Flare."
Sarah, Anna and then Ruby all responded to a question that Flare asked them, but again... Their answers don't make sense to me.
" It's because he thinks you'll be having the dangerous job, not him, Flare."
Edmon answered Flare's question... Oh, is it from what I've decided to do?
" Wait, do you honestly believe that we're going to be taking the most dangerous job here?"
Flare looked at me with a stunned expression on her face and I simply nodded to her. I could see that she didn't believe me, so I began to explain it.
" You 4 are going to be charging behind enemy lines and you're going to sabotage and break the enemy's best weapons, I know you 4 will be able to do it. As for me, I'll be sitting here and healing up the men and women that are still alive. That way, when all 4 of you make it back, we can run to the Western Border, if not, then we can charge them and get you 4 out of their hands. I don't like this plan at all though. Like I told you when I thought this up, I'd rather be doing the tank job, but no one else here can heal as well as I can."
