                                                                       Laura Buckley's Point Of View

" You already healed us, I'm just saying I don't see the point in laying in bed for this long. I mean, we can go out and have some fun instead of staring at the canopy of this bed."

" We all used up a lot of mana, we need to spend our time recovering it before we step back outside, the last thing we want is to be caught in a weakened state against an enemy, right? I mean, maybe you're okay, but ever since I reached Master Advancement, I've noticed that it takes a while for me to get back to 100%."

" But we could protect you, Jaime?"

"Again with this argument, at the end of the day Lucy, we're staying put for now, like it or not. We're staying here till we're at 100% strength, then we need to head back to Whitestone."

" Aaahhhh..."

/ Creak!/

She turned around on the bed, obviously not happy with my decision. Currently we were in the guest house of Duke Cottingham. After the battle with the Dragon, I was able to heal everyone with my Cleric Abilities, we made it back to Phoenix Wing in record time, only taking a day and half. The horses were exhausted, but Jessie insisted on it. As soon as we arrived, after making sure that we all had rooms to sit in, Jessie and Old Man Ben went to Duke Cottingham's office immediately and that's where they've been for the past 5 hours. And we... Meaning the girls, have been in this room for the past 5 hours. The fool's been unconscious since the Dragon left. Apparently it's due to Severe Mana Exhaustion caused by what ever ability it was that he used to make the Dragon run from us. That Sword Skill was powerful, but what's the point in using it if you'll just end up needing to be looked after immediately after using it? Though, maybe I'm being too harsh? Since it was the first time he used the Skill, maybe he'll get better with it in time. Who's to say?

" Still though... Shopping would've been nice..."

And before it seems she drifts off into another nap, Lucy couldn't help but offer one more protest before I could hear the deep breaths that signaled she fell back asleep. With that, only Jaime, Ashley and I were still awake, the sun had long gone down and it was just us, huddled around on 4 separate beds. in a somewhat large room. We weren't too big of fans of the the beds being so far apart, maybe its from all of the small rooms we've had to share since becoming Adventurers? But either way, without even speaking, we brought the beds together in a part of the room where the windows wouldn't give a good view of us.

" And there she goes."

" She does act like a kid sometimes. Maybe it's all of the stress from being here?"

" Probably, speaking of which, Jaime, how are you still awake?"

Ashley looked at Jaime for an answer. I could see why, if we're looking at who participated the most in the fight against the Dragon out of the 4 of us, Lucy and I would be at the top of the list and right below us would be Jaime, her spells helped keep us alive against the Dragon. Even sensing her mana right now, it seems like she's only around 60% of her full strength, at least that's what it feels like to me, though Agnus did say that my Mana Sensing was very sharp, so I assume I'm right about her.

" It probably has to do with the fact that I meditated on the way back in the cart."

" So that's what you were doing! Wait! You got to rest while I was busy fighting off those Razor Foxes? Where's the fairness in that?"

" Right where those Dragon's claws and fangs never hurt any of us because of my magic keeping him immobile. I used up all but 10% of my mana, so I needed to recover as much as I could. That's why Jessie and Old Man Ben didn't mention it while we were traveling back here."
