" And I'm glad to see you as well, Lord Matthew, but we're going to need to clean you up... I'm pretty sure Lady Sarah and Lady Anna will throw a fit if they see you in your current state."
I could already tell what Edmon was thinking, there's no way Sarah and Anna would be happy with the way I look right now, my clothes on my right side are soaked in my blood from when the arrow pierced me, Julia's Armor has a hole and a few cracks, and I'm covered in dirt and muck from this fight. I don't even want to imagine how angry they'd be... When I capture these guys, I'm going to need to find some water to clean up before I meet back up with them, so that way they won't worry even more than they already have been.
/ Clang! Clang! Clang!/
" Ah!"
The sounds of steel clashing with steel and the screams of people missing their opportunity to guard an attack filled the surroundings, it snapped me out of my less immediate concerns, along with that, I looked at the direction where Edmon and Lieutenant Bobby had sent Lee and Morgan flying. I could see that they were cutting through our soldiers along with using magic to create openings. Say what you want about them, but they're definitely strong considering they can fight against so many Demons at once. And I need to find a way to beat them... Well, at least now I don't need to worry about any Elves attacking me from behind, sure they didn't interfere in the few clashes I had, but I could see that they were all patiently waiting for me to forget their presence so they could.
/ Step./
* Grip!*
I felt a large hand on my shoulder, I looked to see that Edmon had walked over to me, he began to speak to me.
" There's no reason why you should have the hardest job, let me help even the odds. We can take them together, the one in better armor is someone you can handle better than us, I watched you beat him once, you can do it again. Let me handle the other one."
" Bu-"
/ Step./
" He's right, Sir. Leave the Swordsman to us, I can't use magic, so I'd be a liability if we were to fight the one using all of those spells. Edmon and I can handle it. You want them captured, right?"
" Yes, we need them for intel."
" Okay. I owe you one, Sir. I'll accomplish the mission of capturing this Elf along with Edmon. That way you can focus on your enemy. The men are already briefed on what to do in most situations, that's the reason you had to fight by yourself so long."
I was a bit surprised, usually, Lieutenant Bobby had an annoyed tone when speaking with me, but right now it was somewhat calm... I can only guess it's from the start of this battle, when I lashed out... Did... Did being angry make him begin to respect me or something? Either way, I decided to take them up on their offer. I wiped the surprise off of my face and looked back to the Elves as they made their way back to where we were and I began to answer their proposal.
" Okay, I'll leave that guy to you both. I'll handle Lee. Good luck and do your best to not get injured."
" Why, you'll just heal us anyways... Right, Lord Matthew?"
" I mean, I would like to, but I have no idea how this fight's going to go."
" You'll win; you've already beat him once after all. And his leg hurts as well, you can see him limping and see that he's favoring his right leg and relying more on his left."
" My eyes aren't that good, Edmon."
" They will be, you just need to train for a bit longer."
His blind faith in me is a bit much right now. I'm not going to lie, I'm a bit nervous about this fight, so many things could go wrong, but I can't afford to worry about that now.
