" Marquess Matthew, did you hear him?"

" Huh?"

Queen Aria called out to me. We were currently in the Throne Room, surrounded by the Bestia Royal Guards. By " we" I'm referring to Myself, Sarah, Anna, Warrick, Aqua, Cynthia as well as King Alan, Queen Aria and Queen Andrea resting on their thrones. We had all eaten breakfast, then King Alan and his Queens asked us to visit the Throne Room to announce that I healed King Alan's arm to his country. I thought that was fine... I slept well with Sarah and Anna at my side, so I thought why not? One last thing before we head back to Diablos, then I can plan to head to Darkheim and once I'm done there, I could happily return to my desk job! Well, it's not super exciting, but it's needed. I still have a bunch of projects I want to put into effect and spend more time finetuning the Academy and introducing a few of the foods that have finished being tested and are ready to be released. My head was almost in the clouds until I thought I heard something strange come out of King Alan's mouth... It was so shocking that I thought I misheard him... Queen Aria called out to me since I must've appeared to be lost. I need to respond to her... Maybe she can repeat what King Alan said so I can make sure I misheard him?

" No... I'm not sure if I did hear King Alan correctly, Queen Aria... Would you mind repeating it for me?"

" Sure, I can understand why you didn't hear him, I mean it is quite early in the day. By all means, Al, could you repeat yourself so he's sure to hear you this time?"

King Alan looked almost like he was stifling a laugh as Queen Aria called out to him... Maybe they were simply playing a prank on me?

" Sure thing, Ari..."

King Alan accepted Queen Aria's request and then he turned to me so he could tell I was paying him my full attention... Wait... Why the hell is Aqua laughing? Why the hell do the guards all have shocked expressions on their faces!?

" As I said before, for healing my arm as well as for the important job of being Chief of Logistics for the combined Army of our Alliance, we've decided that the best way to reward you is a formal ranking of Royal Consort of Bestia at the end of the war."

" Royal Consort? Uhm... Correct me if I'm wrong, King Alan, but isn't that a title given to people who marry into Royalty?"

" Yes, that is correct."

He answered it so nonchalantly! Royal Consort!? How!? Why!? I'm just a Marquess! Why the hell is Aqua laughing!? Wait... I need to calm down... I need to be careful here. I need to figure what the hell they're planning. This isn't normal.

" King Alan... If that's the case, can I take it that you plan on marrying me to one of your daughters by the end of the war?"

" Yes. I'll be having you meet Ashley later in time. Amy however is off limits! She's still only a child, she's younger than Adam even."

" King Alan... I...

" Oh yes, I'm sure you're grateful for these rewards, but fret not! All you need to do is work even harder for our peoples, Marquess Matthew! Now with that, I believe all of our business is finished! Please, relax in the lounge while My Wives and I attend to some other business, Perhaps you should have a chat with Alice, she's waiting back there along with her other friends. By all means, have a good chat. Hahahaha!"

King Alan gave off a hearty laugh as I was pulled into the backroom lounge by Sarah and Anna... I think Warrick and Aqua were also sticking around in the Throne Room... Maybe they'll try to speak some sense into him? He's obviously gone crazy. Perhaps Holy Heal reacted badly to him? I heard sometimes people's mental states are affected by surgeries... That must be it... Right? Right? As Sarah and Anna were dragging me away, it donned on me that I needed to tell them something important right now! I quickly came back down to earth and called to them
