Chapter 460. Late Night Meeting In Bestia

After dinner was finished, My Parents insisted on Uncle Warrick and Aunt Aqua staying for the night, by proxy, that also meant that Big Sis, Anna, John and the rest of our group would be staying in Bestia for the night. I had wondered why they wanted everyone to stay here so badly. That was until I was asked to visit my Father's office late at night. Once I walked in and I saw that Uncle Warrick and Aunt Aqua were in chairs, sat to the side of the big desk that my Father and Mothers sat behind. In the 3 seats  that sat in front of the desk that My Parents were at, sat my brother Adam, who was currently dressed in his pajamas... I wonder what he was doing here considering he seemed to be battling his sleepiness as he sat in the chair and forced himself to open his eyes every time his head began to lean to one of his sides as he seemed to almost fall asleep. I looked to see that Mother Andrea had an uncomfortable expression on her face as I walked in.

" Ah, good, Alle, come on, sit next to your brother. I'd like to finish this quickly so we can all go to bed."

" Okay, Father..."

I did as My Father asked of me and I sat opposite to My Mom Aria. I wondered what it is that required even Uncle Warrick and Aunt Aqua to need to be here. My confusion seemed obvious to My Parents as Mom began to speak to me.

" Alle, we really only wanted to aske if you knew how Matthew feels about Bestia after today. I mean, you did speak to him before you brought them back to the conference room, right?"

" Uhm... No? I mean, I just told them the news and then he asked me to guide them to the conference room."

" I see... That's not great to hear..."

" I could give you an observation though..."

" An observation?"

" Yes, I haven't spoken to Matthew, but I could probably guess how he feels about the idea of more travel."

My Parents seemed happy to know I could give them some kind of an answer, but it looks like Uncle Warrick and Aunt Aqua knew what I was about to say.

" Well, come on, out with it."

Mother Andrea seemed anxious about my explanation.

" Well, to put it bluntly, he hates the idea of more travel, anywhere, not just to Bestia."

" You mean we made him hate the idea of traveling that much, Sis?"

Adam spoke as he began to rub his eyes to try and wake himself up. Funnily enough with his tone of voice, it almost made him look as if he was wiping away tears from his eyes from crying. I looked at My Parents to see that they all assumed the worse as well... Even Mother Andrea, for whatever reason. I should answer my brother's question to see if that will allay their issues somewhat.

" No, I'd say he's always hated traveling. Even as we made our way to Zana, he wasn't exactly too happy with being cooped up in a carriage for most of the day."

" You... You mean he just doesn't like traveling?"

" Yes, he'd probably look to avoid it if it wasn't for the fact his position means he has certain responsibilities as a Marquess. It's because of many of the same reasons that caused Sarah and Anna to be quite angry with Mother Andrea and Adam's actions earlier today. More or less, he's always looked at as an eyesore wherever he goes, the only exception to that rule is obviously-"

" Paradise, where the people there know and appreciate him, right?" 

Mother Andrea finished my sentence. I nodded my head to her assumption.
