" AHHHH! ... Huh?"
Lucy freaked out as she saw the Dragon's fire coming towards us. But she closed her eyes and didn't see what I did. After taking a second, she opened her eyes after realizing that we weren't being burned alive by Dragon Fire.
" Laura! Your Chains!?"
Lucy finally opened her eyes and could see what happened. In front of us, my Chains had wrapped around the Dragon Fire and was keeping it in place. I found out from sparring with Jaime that it turned out that my Chains are actually able to " Bind" anything I want. It's almost like they encapsulate that concept completely. I found it out by accident when Jaime launched a spell at me that touched one of my Chains, without even commanding them to, my Chains quickly wrapped themselves around the spell and protected me from being hit by the spell.
" Yeah! Pretty cool, right? Now watch this!"
That was only the first thing that i found out from sparring with Love Warden's Abilities, there was another thing that I found out right after my Chains bound Jaime's spell... The 2nd was this!
/ Ching! SWOOSH!/
/ THOOM!/
" ROOOAAAHHHHH!"
" You threw the fire back at it!?"
" You really shouldn't have skipped sparring practice so many times!"
Yup! I mean, if you grab something that's thrown at you, it only makes sense that you could throw it back like a game of catch. Only it looks like the Dragon wasn't expecting the fire to come back, why would it? I'm sure this is the first time it's ever had to deal with a situation like this.
" Laura, quick! Let's get down from here!"
We were currently on the Dragon's side, since it seemed to be a side sleeper. I nodded to Lucy's words and we jumped down quickly.
/ THUMP! THUMP!/
The Dragon was shaking off the effects of his fire hitting himself in the face. The only issue was that he was so big that every step he took, shook the ground and unbalanced us. Again, I'm surprised that people can actually kill this thing. I quickly aimed my had and prepared a spell to attack him.
" Divine Bolt!"
/ Thoom!/
My spell hit dead center on the side of the Dragon's face, but it didn't seem to do what I wanted. It's blood-red scales didn't even seem to be scratched from the spell hitting dead on. If that's the case... I can't help but wonder what kind of powerful spells that Jaime is going to need to use to hurt this thing... Maybe the physical attackers will need to weaken the Dragon first? Maybe we should aim for the cream colored underbelly of the Dragon? Or maybe we should take out it's dull green eyes? Either way, there's targets, we just need to find the best place to strike...
/ Swoosh!/
With another burst of air, Lucy's body was surrounded in clear yellow mana, almost like she was surrounded by glittering jewels in comparison to the blood red mana she had previously.
" Okay, Laura, I'm going to try something different than just putting my all into one powerful attack. I'll try to keep it distracted and see if it I can show you something I picked up during the month of training."
Lucy seemed confident in whatever it was she was planning. However, if she's going to do something different, I'll keep at it trying to land a killing blow. If it tries to use it's breath again, I can stop it and throw it back. It looks like it had a good effect considering that it was still making Dragon trying to shake off either the surprise or damage from it's own attack. However...
