Chapter 465. Start Of 2nd Job Training

" Oh! They painted the walls!"

" Lucy, don't yell so loudly, their going to stare at us and think we're strange."

" But look at it, Jaime, they're so cute... Are you really going to be destroying them?"

" Well... I need to figure out how to aim the Crest Magic... Which means that yeah... I'm going to need to... Still though, why did those kids have to draw cute little animals... I could've sworn I told them I'd be needing targets to hit. Maybe it's a difference in cultures?"

Jaime began to seriously consider the situation we were in as Ash happily pointed out and reviewed the cute, child-like drawings of different monsters that we've come across in our Adventuring careers to Lucy. There were Poison Toads drawn with giant puppy-like eyes, 3-headed man-killer horses with ribbons in their manes. Even a Massacre Tiger, a Boss from the dungeon closest to Whitestone had a bell tied to it's tail with a pink thread. The drawings were all made by children from the orphanages across the city. We decided to hire them to paint targets on the walls that Jaime made using her magic in the training yard we'll be using for the next few weeks. Along with the silver coins they earned, we also ended up cooking the kids breakfast, lunch and dinner the day they worked. They all left looking quite happy yesterday night. It's been 3 days since the King gave us that Royal Order. Since then, Lucy's been able to get back on her feet and today is the first day where she's been cleared by the Doctors, so she's joined us for what was our 2nd day of training and what will be her first.

" Oh, good! You've all made it!"

And like that, what I thought would be a nice day, became a lot worse. The fool was here along with Jessie. It looks like they'll be spending their time sparring. The fool walked over to Lucy and began to inspect her closely.

" Lu, are you feeling alright?"

" Yes, Luke, I'm okay. How about you?"

" Me? Well, I'm fine, Light Swordsman is a bit tricky to get the hang of it at the moment. What about you? I don't you told me what it was called, but you unlocked a 2nd Job, right?"

" Yes, I did and I evolved Thief as well."

" Wow! All in the middle of a fight? How did you pull that off?"

" I was about to die."

" What?"

" Oh right. You weren't in the room when I told everyone, right?"

" Yeah, I had to attend all of those boring meetings to explain what happened and go over the different reports to confirm what you guys all said. It was super tedious."

The siblings began to have a back and forth. However, I did choose to listen to Lucy's story since I'm still somewhat curious about her 2 new Jobs. So far, all she's told us is the name of the Jobs.

 " Right, so, as her attack was coming down... I thought about a lot of things..."

" Oh, like that whole " life flashes before your eyes" thing?"

Lucy's cheeks began to redden as Luke spoke.

" Y... Yes, something like that. And well, from what I can guess, the emotions that came to me are what did it. I Evolved Thief into something called " Bewitching Thief". Then I also gained a New Job called " Assassin Of Colors". It gave me a shock when I unlocked them, it shocked the enemy to. But they were difficult to figure out how to use."

" Well, just going from their names don't really help. What do they do, Lu?"

Finally, the conversation had gotten to the part I was most curious about. Lucy looked up to the sky for a moment while she thought about how to explain her Job to Luke and by extension, us.
