" Wow!"

" Yeah! I knew it could work! The Dragon Style is so cool!"

" While it's great that you've gotten stronger, Lady Monk, please, don't destroy any more house walls please. The Mages aren't too happy about repairing the walls after the battle..."

We were currently all in the training area of the small Adventurer Village on the outskirts of the forest to the west of Phoenix Tail. We were currently waiting to receive further orders from either the Adventurer's Guild or King Roman. Either way, the Demons have seemed to stay in the forest and haven't ventured out. Usually, I'd be happy that nothing has happened... But for some reason, I can't remain calm about it. I'm not the only one either, all of us girls are wound up. That fight in the forest showed us what we needed to work on. Fighting Humans is one thing, but the physical abilities of the Demons are something that you can't properly prepare for. When we invaded Diablos, the Demons mostly used magic on us, except for Ash, but she said that the girl she fought didn't do anything crazy to her... She seemed to think that was a good thing, but in my mind, I couldn't help but think that meant they were only playing with us the whole time... Seeing the result of that fight, if it could even be called that, answered my question about it. Regardless, we were all currently practicing different things. Ash seemed to have mastered a new skill in one of her Styles, Laura and Jaime were meditating and as for me. I've been training my footwork. After thinking about it for a while, the thing that the Demon I fought really had the upper hand in was her ability to close and open the gap between us to attack and defend. I couldn't catch her, but she could catch me. I can't let that happen again. Anyways, Ash took out a wall with the skill she's been working on. I'm not sure what it is, but I can feel a strong and dense amount of mana gathering all around her body. It reminded me of the robe and halo that Laura had when she was fighting the Demon in the forest. While I thought back to that sight, the guard assigned to watch over us, reprimanded Ash for destroying a wall she used as her target. Ash seemed to realize what she did and looked somewhat embarrassed.

" Oh... Uhm... Sorry..."

And she quickly apologized for it. Maybe we can have Jaime fix up the wall instead of bothering the Adventurers around the village, they're all doing different jobs to keep this place running.

" I guess I'll need to be more careful as well. Sorry about ripping up the ground..."

" I guess we need to work on our control while meditating?"

Laura and Jaime ended their meditation sessions and began to gently place the giant boulders that they were making float around them back down on the ground. Jaime was the first to apologize for any disturbance they might have caused, and Laura simply observed that they need to work on their control. If anything, I should also be taking some inspiration from them as well. I do have a good amount of mana, it's just that most of the Thief Job's skills are physical. Maybe the more advanced skills will need my mana? I should add mediation to my schedule. Along with control exercises for my mana.

" Well... At least we're all getting stronger."

I joined Jaime and Laura as they sat down in the rest area. We were all sweating quite a bit from the training we've been doing. Before long, Ash came to us as well, she looked a little browbeaten, she really didn't mean to break the wall, so I offered a little bit of encouragement to all of us.

" How did your footwork training come along?"

" I'm not sure yet, I think I'll only be able to tell once I'm sparring someone... I'm really only going by instinct right now."
