I couldn't help but laugh, he was so confident before after all. Now he's flying far away, all because he couldn't properly guard, I guess he does better fighting a woman who's in over her own head than someone like me? Regardless, I'm not going to allow him to escape from my crashing into him.

With better control than when I did it the first time, I stuck 4 of the mana spears hovering around me into the ground they dug deeply into the ground as I began to pull myself back. Thanks to some testing after I head unlocked this Skill, I found out that the Mana Strings that surround and are attached to me have similar characteristics to rubber. I'm sure if someone were to see this, they'd think of it being more like a slingshot than a rubber band, though that's because rubber is something that doesn't exist in Gaia as far as I know, instead of a slingshot however, in actuality, I got the idea to try this from John's memories, whenever he found a rubber band, he'd always try to flick it. Thanks to that inspiration, I was able to test it out and I was quite happy when I figured out it could work with this Skill I was able to unlock before leaving for this godforsaken Border along with all of the ungrateful fools stationed in it. The Skill was called Forebearer's Spears. It seems that this was the Skill that Alice had brought up to me after the battle with that foolish God. I thought she had just simply thought she saw something, but in actuality in my crazed state, I was able to tap into this Skill. I've no idea how, but I don't need to worry about it now.

I quickly caught up to him, seems he was just able to get to his feet. Unlike last time, where he wasn't ready for the whack of the back of my halberd, this time he had his sword up. That was good, I need this lab rat to last at least until I test out 3 or 4 more of my Skills. To be honest, he wouldn't have lasted much longer if not for the fact that I'm too inexperienced in controlling these Spears. They move awkwardly, like a newly gained appendage I hadn't been able to use. They would shift and turn at the wrong time and slow my attacks down, granted, this did help in some ways. If I didn't know how I was going to attack, he wouldn't be able to figure it out either. But I think this is enough of playing around.

I sent my Forebearer's Spears away, the testing was good enough as is, now it was time to test something new. Calamitous Mana Spear is working just fine though, that was good to see. Honestly, it's probably the Calamity Spear Demon Skill that I've used the most, Anna, John and Cyn have been great sparring partners since they had their own versions of a Mana Blade to use. Because of that, I've more or less mastered it. I could barely feel the mana it takes to maintain it.
