Chapter 407. Where He Belongs

Anna and I made eye contact as we laid together with John in our bed. Since it was so late, we quickly decided to just meet again in the afternoon with everyone to discuss what to do next. Yes... Next... What comes after. It's something that I've stopped thinking about in comparison to the past 2 months. For so long I've been wondering about what to do next. Whether to send people to reclaim him or to just storm the capital of Alfheim myself. With our rings, we're always connected, it wouldn't be difficult to find him... And if we were too late... Well, I told my Father what it is we'd end up doing.

" He's safe Sarah. We don't need to think about worst case scenarios now. He's here, in our arms again."

Anna spoke to me telepathically. We share a link to each other's minds thanks to my Mother teaching me the Telepathy Spell of hers. After a bit, Anna was even able to learn it. Now we usually end up talking like this at night while John sleeps. I quickly added onto Anna's words. In no way do I want her to think that I'm stuck on the past. With our hands caressing his head and his body within our arms, how could I be angry? He's here, with us... Safe from everything else. The way it should be.

" And he's never going to leave them again, Anna. But that's not why I was thinking about it. It's just... We're so happy again... After 2 months of stress. Everything is okay again."

" We're even better than okay. Who would've thought that he'd bring such a powerful ally with him?"

" I don't know if ally is how I'd describe it... At least he explained what happened, so we know he's okay... Still... Him being stuck in a cell and the only reason he was able to escape was because of the natural defenses his Job gives him... That kind of lucky is too close to be comfortable."

" What word would you use? I mean, Ryan was quite clear with what he wanted. We know that he's not lying to us since Charlotte could confirm everything. And he'll even be leaving shortly. I know, him being taken wasn't good... But again, he's back. That's what's important. I mean, do you really have that big of an issue with what Ryan told us?"

" I know... it just feels a little... Invasive for someone to read his mind and then tell us everything we wanted to know."

The conversation had shifted a little. As we were embracing My Love. A red light flashed from his chest and an oblong red jewel came floating out of his shirt. He introduced himself as an uncle of Charlotte's. Not only that but he began to explain to us what had happened to John since he was captured. Since he's a Mind Mage he was able to read John's mind... I know he consented to it, after the fact, but still hearing about how he was invaded like that... His mind and soul are the property of his Wives only... Still though... Ryan didn't stop at that; he went on to describe how he wished to help our Alliance. Looking into John's personal feelings and memories, he happily told the girls how to appeal to John with the aspects of them that he likes. His explanation was interesting to hear, but the most important aspect of it all was the confirmation we've all been looking for. The fact that he's attracted to everyone in the Alliance, but he just pushes those feelings away due to a variety of factors. From his love for us, feelings of guilt caused by his upbringing when it comes to relationships mostly just that his society practices monogamy, but it's strange to feel that way considering he already has 2 Wives. and finally, the last one, maybe the most important. Fear, fear that he'd ruin the fragile friendships he's been able to build with the girls. When we all heard these things, the other girls were shocked by what was holding him back. Anna and I always figured it was something like that. That's why we found it hard to broach the topic in the first place. Anna and I still aren't quite sure how to explain to him that it's okay. Even more so since we're worried about how he'd react to us telling him it's okay. I'm sure he'd have doubts about our relationship or something similar. Anna and I will need to work out a strategy. Especially now that we know he does want to but holds himself back. We can't have that. That's how that pest Laura ruined her chances back in their world... Hm? Wait? Anna?
