/ CRASH! CRACK!/

" Don't fall back!"

/ CLANG!/

" A Demon!"

/ THUMP!/

As we've approached the village, a thunderous crashing sound, almost like lightning striking right next to us, startled us all. After that, the sound of metal clashing against metal reverberated in the cart. The men quickly searched for the origin of the sound. Jessie was the first to spot it and he quickly called out the cause of it. We all quickly jumped out of the cart and followed Jessie with our eyes to see that he was rushing towards a squad of 3 Humans battling against a large blue demon with 3 arms, each holding a weapon, 2 swords and one axe all together.

/ CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!/

The Demon and Humans were locked in an intense struggle, that was until Jessie arrived first with his sword in hand.

/ CLANG!/

" More of you? That's great! I need more heads to bring back anyways!"

The Demon's low guttural voice seemed to be filled with glee as he leaked more and more killing intent. We all were unperturbed by it as we simply continued running forward attempting to help the Adventurers currently fighting the Demon.

" Lion's Slash!"

" Flame Slash!"

Luke and Jessie preformed a Coopertive assault against the Demon. We all quickly got into our positions, I waited to see what the Demon would do before attacking.

/ WOOSH!/

" Really? You think an attack of that magnitude is enough?"

Almost in a bored manner of speaking the Demon canceled out the attacks of Luke and Jessie. This worked perfectly fine for me, I channeled my mana into my fists and feet and launched my attack!

/ THUMP!/

I made contact with the Demon's stomach. Now with my fist digging in, I shift my shoulder forward just like I was taught by Mr. Mark taught me that a proper Monk should do. And just like he said, the force of my punch sent the Demon flying into a tree! The power that Monk has when he or she has properly channeled the mana is awe-inspiring. I could level an entire castle without breaking a sweat when I'm perfectly controlling my mana.

" Huah!"

" What about that magnitude?"

The Demon slammed into a tree near us and then a voice I didn't recognize asked the Demon a question. I looked at the Adventurers now that I had a moment, it was made up of 3 men, they were dirty and bleeding slightly, it looks like we interrupted the Demon right before he was able to achieve the kill. How we got to this situation is something I'm sure Jessie and Ben would love to know, I'm more concerned about the loud sound we heard at the start. It wasn't caused by this lone Demon; it sounded father away. It was like hearing a building collapse or a bomb going off.

" Not bad, Ashley, but you took your eyes off of the enemy. That's a rookie mistake. Your opponent never leaves your sight until you kill or subdue him."

" But I did, didn't I?"

Ben offered me some advice, but I didn't see the big issue, I mean, the Demon must be knocked out from such a hard hit, right? I quickly look back at the Demon to see that he was still wide awake. I wondered how, I mean, everyone I've fought in sparring that I've landed that blow on had passed out from the pain of the attack.

" Surrender now, and we may allow you to live, Demon."

" For what? To be tortured for information in some dungeon? I refuse! I'll die here! In battle! As my Ancestors have before me! Now come Humans! See if you can actually achieve what no Human has in the years I've spent slaying them! My Death! HahAhaHa!"
