Chapter 434. An Event Before Teleporting

" Okay! We're all ready to set out!"

Aqua happily announced that we were all ready to leave. True all of us were bundled up now. The girls in the same coats. As well as Aqua and Warrick wearing the same style that Alice had gotten for us. Aqua was in a thick, dark blue coat with white fur around the hood of it. And Warrick was in a blood red coat with grey fur around it.

" Now that I think about it, how come our coats don't have fur around it?"

/ Swoosh!/

I nearly cursed the words that came from my mouth as I felt the atmosphere in the room jump to almost freezing temperatures. All of the girls quickly turned their heads to Alice who was curiously, the furthest girl to the right as we were in in a line almost like it was a punishment for her. I tried my best to get the girls to lay off of her since Aqua fixed the issue of my coat color, but I was made to stop by of all people, by Warrick himself.

" Noblemen shouldn't involve themselves in Noblewomen's issues unless asked specifically for help."

" Bu-"

" Just trust me on this. Many Noblemen have spent many a night sleeping on the couch because they didn't heed this ancient advice. Even myself, John."

" ... Fine..."

And with that, I just simply waited along with Warrick and Aqua until whatever the issue was became resolved. And I feel like I just relit the fuse on a bomb that didn't blow up yet. Alice went bug-eyed as she quickly began to explain.

" I wasn't lying! I really did go to multiple stores! All of the coats were sold out, the ones I bought were the only one's available!"

" What store did you buy from, Alice?"

Aqua cut through the tense situation with a simple question.

" Uhm... Blazing Animals?"

" She's right, you know? I've heard from several of the maids that Blazing Animals were the only ones to still be selling Beastmen coats now. Apparently, there's a resupply coming, but it's taking time because of the war with the Elves that has started."

" Are Beastmen clothes really that popular in Diablos?"

" The spring and summer clothes are a bit hit or miss. Mostly due to some of them showing a tad too much skin, the winter clothes usually sell very well, mostly because they're quite warm and Diablos does get cold at certain times during the year. The warm clothes are especially popular with the Demons that are susceptible to cold or even some who're very anemic due to poor health during pregnancy. I wore a coat every day for the winters that I was pregnant with Cyn Sarah with. I was laid up on the couch in our living quarters too sick to even move. Sarah in particular made me extremely ill, it was hard to even eat properly. I knew right then and there she'd be my problem child."

" Well... Sorry for that."

" Oh, don't be, problem children can be quite cute in unique ways. You should've seen the look on her face when we began to discuss your marriage with her."

" Mom! Now isn't the time for that! Didn't you have something else to add about the clothes!"

" Oh, stop trying to change the subject! But fine... I can just continue on. In essence, yes, the winter clothes are popular with women and usually they sell well all through the year with every new year with the new designs, they usually sell out in a few weeks. The summer clothes however... Well... Let's say they sell well to the more romantic type of person who's looking to spice things up."

" What?"

Aqua was trying to hint at something but I have no idea what she meant. The look on my face must've told her that I was confused. She looked at me with pity before looking at My Wives before looking back at me.
