Chapter 469. Training With Love

" Okay... That's easier to do than I thought it would be..."

I was looking at the small fire that was burning on the ground and the black spot next to it. The descriptions were refreshingly simple when I read them for these 2 abilities. The first one I decided to take a look at was " First Sight's Flash".

Love At First Sight! A phenomena that's effected men and women since time immemorial! This attacking spell is a representation of that feeling, Dear User! Think of the first time you saw the Love of Your Life, Dear User! That powerful memory is all you need for the power of this lightning spell!

Judging from the description and what I've learned from the chains, I'll probably need to think about John and my feelings whenever I use spells from this Job... Is what I would say, but I don't think that's right... My instincts are telling me that I'm missing something... I think it might be something like the Job will remember each memory or feeling for the spell... I think at least? It makes some kind of sense, it would probably be hard to be in the middle of a fight and think about the first time I figured out that I was in love with John... I mean, there's a way to confirm it...

" Chains."

/ Clink!/

Without thinking about John at all, I tried to summon the chains... It worked and they seemed to be working fine... I tried to lift another stone from the ground. It worked... This is strange... Why did I need to think about John in the first place if you're just going to work fine from then on? It makes no sense? Maybe showing the memory or your feelings is similar to paying a one time admission fee for the spells? That's the only thing I can possible think of as the chains awkwardly hold the rock, a sign that I'm still a beginner at using it.

I dropped the stone and released the chains. Whether or not I'm right, it seems like this Job won't be too much of a detriment to me... It's just strange is all. Regardless, the next spell was Burning Passion. Like the name implied, its a fire spell.

Burning Passion

What fuels a romantic relationship at first, Dear User? That's right! PASSION! Passion to see the object of your affection! Passion to learn about them! To grow closer! Passion to make them yours! This fire spell is a representation of that aspect of love! Use your passion and show the flames of your heart, Dear User!

Now that both of the descriptions are out of the way, I did just as they both asked of me and I was able to create small flames and a small flash of lightning in the palms of both of my hands. The first thing that jumped out to me was the fact that both spells were like my chains... As in they were a light-pink color. Despite the strange color of the flames and lightning, I launched the spells at the ground and saw that they did fairly small amounts of damage to the ground. If I had to guess, they're like my chains, in that I lack experience with them... Which thankfully is fine, since I'm going to be able to train and practice all of these new abilities for the next month. However, with both of them out of the way, there's one more Skill to take a look at. Silence Of Infatuation was a strange name for a spell. Since it was in the folder called Tethers Of Love And Madness, I could only assume this was in someway related to the idea of binding someone... But the question is how? That's when I decided to take a look at the description.

Silence Of Infatuation

Silencing, wanting to hide the better sides of the object of you love, so you can keep all of those sights to yourself. From their quirks during their daily lives, their opinions they only share with you, the moments in time that are special to you and your Lover alone. These things are irreplaceable to both sides of the relationship. But what about the special sounds your Lover makes when they're with you? How can you keep that to yourself? Well that's where this spell comes into play, Dear User! Silence of Infatuation is born of that need to keep your Lover to yourself! Create an area that belongs only to the 2 of you!

The description was certainly something... I mean sure, John's sleeping face should only belonging to me, but still... To even keep his sounds to myself... That certainly does sound nice to me... I'm assuming this spell hinges on the strength of the possessiveness I feel for John... No, the instincts like with the other spells are what's telling me that... I decided to try using the spell.

" Silence Of Infatuation."

I whisper the name, since I'd rather no one hears me say the names of some of these spells. With the spell activated, I could feel something coming from within me. It was my mana, the Attachment Mana within me... The spells for all of the Love Warden spells are taken from it... It looks as if the Attachment Mana is beginning to grow from the use of the spells. That's good at least... It means that the training will improve me in more ways than just spell mastery. Eventually, the mana left my body and I could feel the mana form a decent translucent bubble form around me. The bubble seemed to be around 5 feet wide all around me. It must be like a barrier spell... But I don't think the bubble can protect me from any kind of damage... Wait... Now that I remember the name...

" ..."

I can't hear anything outside the bubble... I step outside the bubble, I can hear my friends doing their various exercises. Okay... So it makes a sound proof area around me... I guess it has some reason? But that doesn't mean it's super useful... Is there anything else it can do? I step back into the bubble and I begin to bring the bubble back into me. Since it's made of my mana, I can control it to some degree... But something strange happened. Instead of the mana just returning to my body and beginning to circulate again, it's sticking on top of my body, like another layer of skin... I moved my arm and could see that the bubble moved with me... Okay... This is useful in a way... It's like a stealth suit... I'm not sure it's going to be very useful in battle, but maybe if we have to infiltrate another lair like that cave, there might be use... But I doubt this will be some spell that I'll use consistently.

" Okay!"

Now with all of the spells finally figured out, I quickly cancelled the spell so I could return to hearing all of the sounds around me. Now then, the first question for me, is what spell should I train first? The chains are the first spell that I began to use, but I could probably train the proficiency of both attack spells since I already confirmed that I could use them together... Choices, choices, choices... Though... Now that I think about it... Considering what this Job is... Something tells me that I should focus on the chains... I mean, the whole thing about this entire Job is being able to bind the person you love... Something tells me that the chains and my mastery of them is going to be the key to advancing in this Job's mastery. With that in my mind, I decided to try and form the chains from both of my palms instead of just one now.

" Chains."

I call for them and I was able to form them out of my palms... They were awkward to control still, even more so since I'm dual-casting the spell. I know this overcomplicates things, but I can't just favor one side for the chains, I need to learn how to use each spell with either side of my body. If I can, I'd even want to learn how to fire the attacking spells from the bottoms of my feet if I can, but I actually can't tell if that's possible... Nope... No answer from my instincts from my gut... It looks like it won't work...

 The chains were simply wiggling around as I thought about different ideas... At the end of the day, I am thinking too far ahead, I should just focus on these chains for now. Once I master the chains coming from my palms, to then my arms, then my back... I'll learn how to do it, I'll master it then I'll master my 2 attack spells after I master these chains! And I'll master anything else that comes my way! I'll master it all, Evolve both of my Jobs and then I'll take the head of the Demon King and return home to John! Nothing will stop me!
