                                                                        Chris Hamil's Point Of View

" Charge forward men! Do not give an inch!"

" DIE!"

/ SWOOSH! SHING!/

" AH!"

" Fool!"

/ THUMP!/

" Captain Hamil, they're coming from all sides!"

" Use Formation D, dammit!"

" Yes Sir!"

With my obvious answer out of the way, the soldiers quickly lined up and began acting like trained professionals. The panic they felt when these mongrels suddenly attacked was already irritating enough, but now that we've finally begun to push them back, now all of a sudden, they can't figure out how to swing a blade or cast a spell... Honestly, I'd love to know who trained each of them so I could personally reprimand them all for their shoddy training. Regardless, we've made progress, despite the fact that Junie had taken off without listening to the plan that Lieutenant Colonel Lee and I had come up with as these insects tried to lay siege to us. I should thank them if anything instead of cutting them in half and kicking them away like I did with that last one. To think he would try to swing a sword at me? Or at least I think it was a " he", maybe I'm wrong, these mindless mongrels all look the same anyways. I saw that the middle of our formation was beginning to stall in their advance, that's where my sword is needed. With a snap judgement, I quickly used some of my mana to enhance my feet to quicken my journey from the back of the formation to the front. I quickly raised my sword from my side to my eye level as I saw the perfect spot to interject myself into the fray.

" Captain!"

" Get back in line soldier! No breaks in formation!"

" Ah... Yes!"

" Hahaha! You think blocking my strike will save him!? All that means is another of my comrades will drive through his belly with a blade!"

" Not before I skewer you, demon!"

" I'd like to see you try!"

/ THUMP!/

" Huah!"

/ Thump!/

With a quick exchange of words, the demon quickly kicked me in the stomach to try and gain ground, it was such a strong kick that I was flipped while in the air, I quickly regained my footing by placing my arm on the ground to flip myself and put my feet back on the ground. That was good, since the formation line was right behind me, the last thing I need is my men running around like chickens without their heads. Which would be fitting considering what's on my hand... I guess that means I need to do more than just give the soldiers peace of mind... Speaking of which.

" Don't give ground! Keep pushing! Do not fall back! Those that take a step back will lose more than their footing!"

The area around us was muddy, I quickly shook my right hand to get the mud off of it. If we give ground, we'll start to slip... The one's who're less coordinated will fall... And that just means more dead Elves rather than dead demons... Can't have that, not while I'm the Commander of this infantry unit.

/ THUMP! THUMP! THUMP!

" !"

/ SWOOSH!/

" Are you sure you should be focused on your men, while you're dealing with your own battles?"

" No, with someone as skilled as you, I can afford to bark orders, fool."

" Is that so!?"
