The same night Allistair failed to defeat the wall crawler, Fisk was walking down the halls, contemplating on his next move. The only thing he knew was that he had to do something. This web slinger was a massive wrench in his future plans. What was worse, he was even better than the Spider-Man from over sixteen years ago! More skilled, more powerful, granting more hope for New York.......so much so that the citizens of the city were beginning to see just how dangerous Fisk was. Sure there were some doubters of the web swinger's return, but compared to those that believed the hero's return was a good thing, it wasn't enough.
On top of all that, there was his son.....oh no.... if his son found out about this recent failure.....it could turn out far worse than he could imagine....... unfortunately for him, Richard was going to find out sooner or later..... whether he told Richard or someone else did .....so he would have to get it out of the way. With a little hesitation, Wilson walked to find his son in the mayor's office.
It didn't take him very long to find Richard, so he walked up to the mutated boy, clearing his throat. "Son...." Fisk started off.
Richard turned his attention to his father, seeming rather calm for the time being. "Dad......it's good to see you. The good news is that recently we got a great upgrade in the weapons and armor for Fisk's Fists. Possibly enough to handle any resistance that stands in our way...... unfortunately it cost us quite a pretty penny. However, we sell enough of these, we can make ten times the amount we used to require them." Richard said, sounding rather excited for future plans. "New York will definitely be under better surveillance under our new and improved political power.....so much so, that we could be untouchable.....only problem would be Spider-Man getting in our way. However he shouldn't be a problem anymore with your plan to use Smythe's abilities now."
With this, Wilson's face grimaced slightly, knowinp I'mg that the news he was about to share would completely ruin the good news his son just shared. Richard was right that it was good news. With those weapons, they could do far more than they originally could. Especially if they sold them anonymously on the streets. "Speaking of Spider-Man....." Fisk said, trying his best to ease Richard into this topic, hoping not to anger him.
The Fisk son heard the hesitation in his father's voice, and his face slowly shifted from the calm calculated business side he showed his son to a colder expression, trying to not show rage. However, the more he tried to not get angry, the more he failed. Though it didn't help him that he had a feeling that he knew what his father was trying to say. "Smythe failed didn't he ...?"
Wilson confirmed his son's theory with a small nod. "However, with a little more time, we will destroy the wall crawling worm. Get the revenge we have long-"
"WE'VE ALREADY WAITED FOR OVER HALF A YEAR AND CONTINUOUSLY FAIL!!!!!!" Richard screamed out, scales slowly forming along his body and face. "You have done nothing but fill me with empty promises and pitiful attempts to destroying that pest! Yet he bests you each and every time! So now ......I put my foot down....." As he continued speaking, claws grow from his fingernails and toes, his face contorts to look more reptilian in nature, and his teeth became more like fangs. "You cannot stop me from doing this.... I'm going to tear the wall crawler apart myself.....limb by limb......" He growled out, jumping toward the roof window, shattering the glass and slithering out like a snake.
The mayor could only watch in horror as his son left in that enraged state. Not because of the fact that this could ruin him...that was the last thing in his mind......but because he was more concerned that his son would get hurt.... he wanted nothing more than to cure his son and kill Spider-Man.....but he didn't know what to do in order to succeed in either venture......"My son..... I will do whatever it takes....to be sure to cure you of this curse.....but I beg you....to come home alive so I can ....." He muttered to himself, staring at his own reflection in a shard of glass from the broken window above....."no matter what my son....I shall always love you....."
(Editor's note: two chapters in one day/night???? How..... unusual. Still this had to be a short chapter. Hope you're enjoying so far! :3(
