A New Evil Arises! Part 2: Birth Of The Sinister Seven!

After an hour and a half of flying, and the seven supervillains had landed at the docking bay and get off of the helicopter. Once they see they're in a different taller building than the Mayor's office, they realized that this was the old layer of the Kingpin......his old office......they slowly walk in, getting familiar with the building. "Haven't been in this shit hole for some time.... almost 17 years now." Electro said with a hint of fond nostalgia.

Soundwave rolls his eyes under his helmet, not quite feeling that same nostalgic feeling as the electric supervillain. "Yeah yeah it's all sunshine and rainbows here. But why the hell are we all here? All we got from this was that we'd be taking down Spider-Man." He said as he walks up to the desk of the Kingpin of crime.

Soon, the chair turns slowly to reveal the corrupt mayor himself, waiting for them with a smirk. "Gentlemen. I've been expecting you all to show up. After all, why wouldn't you?" He asked rhetorically, hands clasped together.

Orion moves towards the desk, energy arms carrying him before one slams on the desk. "As expected of you. However, we wish for you to get to the point so we may carry on with our days!" He shouts, showing no fear.

Wilson unclasps his hands, and stands up while grabbing his cane. "Very well then. You all took the time to meet up with me. The least I can do is explain why I have chosen you specifically to be here." He started off. "Electro......your experience and electricity shall be most excellent for the goal at hand."

Electro smirks as sparks of electricity shoot out from his fingertips. "So you want a long range powerful individual like me. Makes sense." He said with a smug expression.

Fisk then turns his attention to Terrainia. "Terrainia, with your powers, you can take multiple hits, and be the ultimate offense as well as defense against anyone who stands in your way."

The earth covered villain smirks as well. "I like the way you think. Especially if it means I get to smash whatever the hell I want." He said simply as he punches his fist with determination.

The corrupt mayor then turned to Bumbler. "Bumbler.....your experience with aerial combat shall aid the rest with finding any prey like that of a hunter."

The Bumble bee themed assassin nods in understanding at his client's description. "Being your eyes in the sky. Very impressive."

Wilson then looks at Mantis next. "Mantis......your martial arts skills, weapons and combat style makes you far less predictable, and ready to stun foes or eliminate them effortlessly."

Mantis bows respectfully. "Thank you sir. I have worked extensively to perfect my technique of the mantis, and show the world that I am the ultimate threat." He responded with gratitude.

Next, the corrupt mayor focuses on Soundwave. "Soundwave....your technology shall drown out other noises for you to hear the footsteps of your foes, and your sound blasts can be concentrated to any amount of power you need."

The sound powered villain readjusts dials on his suit. "Yes sir, and I am ready to obliterate whatever gets in the way."

"Heinguard...." Fisk continues on. "Your suit enhances your ability significantly, on top of you already being as strong as you are, adding weapons to destroy whoever stands in your way. Plus, you are always in charge of the rest of the officers without question."

Heinguard folds his arms over his chest with confidence. "Damn right. I'm the best you got and that's how it's gonna stay. Don't ever forget it." He boasts confidently.

Lastly, the corrupt mayor gets to Orion. "Now you.... Doctor Orion Octavius.....the most brilliant man in the world....or at least one of them......your technology, your enhanced arms, the way your mind thinks......it is all perfect for what I will need from you."

Orion doesn't look too impressed, staring at his employee while trying to get a read on him. "Yes yes you know us all extremely well. However, it doesn't fully explain why you summoned us all here." He said, unable to hide his impatience.

The Kingpin of crime himself nods with understanding before letting a television screen slide down. "As you are all aware, we have a common foe we all want eliminated...... Spider-Man." As he speaks, he shows clips of the web slinging superhero defeating each of the villains, other supervillains and other criminals or member of Fisk's Fists. "You watch have failed to defeat this wall crawling pest, and he continues to best more of his foes.... however, that was when you were each independent."

"So you think by having us work together we'll take out Spider-Man?" Orion asked, arms still folded over his chest as he thinks this plan over, quietly going over the pros and cons.

"It ain't the worst idea in the entire world....." Electro said as he thinks it over as well,.....well barely.

"Are you an idiot you stupid lightbulb?! We barely know each other's fighting styles! Not to mention we all have a vendetta against Spider-Man. Who's to say we all won't turn on each other to destroy him ourselves?!" Heinguard asked with irritation. "I don't know about any of you, and truthfully I don't give a shit.....but I wanna kill him myself."

"It is true we all want to end that miserable Arachnid on our own terms instead of sharing him.... however, counterargument......alone, we all failed to defeat him. However, together, his chances of defeating us are far more slimmer....with the seven of us fighting together.......our chances of success will go up by roughly 75%." Orion said as he looks at the other supervillains.

Fisk nods in agreement at the octo villain's assessment. "The good doctor is correct. Especially since Spider-Man continues to improve himself greatly.... none of you can truly afford to take him on as is. But working together, defeating Spider-Man shall be more than just a mere possibility.....it will be an inevitably." He said with a smirk. "Which is why I have assembled you all here today, chosen each of you for this task. Alone, you are a deadly force with your unique talents and abilities. However, put all of your talents and abilities together? Not even the arachnid pest himself will be able to stop you."

The seven villains all look at one another, and they all see just how much they have in common. They all were defeated by Spider-Man, they all want revenge on him, and they all want to prove their superiority. In order to do so more freely, they had to eliminate Spider-Man. Terrainia steps up to their client. "Alright.....but what's in it for us when we succeed?" He asked boldly.

The corrupt mayor clasps the top of his cane in both hands, looking directly into their eyes. "Money beyond your wildest dreams, and for those who truly wish for it? A chance to get their old lives back. That means no more having your powers, no more mental instability, and most importantly, all of your records being cleaned, as if all your criminal charges never happened." He answered without flinching.

Each villain hears what Fisk is offering and begin weighing their options. For Howard to be able to live his life the way he wants, no longer having to be the bad guy? That was the dream. Heinguard out of this mechanized armored suit? Being able to live as himself again? on top of him being Fisk's big captain again? On top of him being paid bigger than he ever had before? That was just what he needed! As for the rest of the villains? They didn't care about living normal lives, they just wanted the power. So they turn to Fisk together, their expressions determined. "We accept."

Fisk smirks. "Excellent.....most excellent. Now, the one in charge of you all? Shall be Doctor Octopus himself. After all, he has the superior intelligence of the group. Be sure to listen closely to him. Do whatever you all must....but assure me that Spider-Man is dead." He said with a calm tone, looking away as he leaves through a hall. But before he leaves, he glanced back at the group he gathered. "Show them what true power is....my Sinister Seven."

(Editor's note: a relatively shorter chapter, but one that gets the point across. I genuinely cannot believe that this is going to be the last arc of this particular book. Hope you're enjoying so far! :3)
