Learning How To Adapt! New Girl On The Block!

After fighting the Bumbler, and witnessing his escape, Will was at the Parker residence, watching as the retired superhero was studying this strange honey compound.....whatever it was. He waited patiently for his mentor to discover what it was, pacing back and forth in the living room. "Anything yet? Because whatever that stuff was it seems to be similar to my webbing." Will asked with curiosity and a hint of impatience.

The retired superhero studies the strange honey substance on his computer with calculation and extreme observation. "Just about done.....this honey is a rather interesting substance....." He tells Will patiently while typing on his keyboard with practiced efficiency. But not long after saying that, his computer completed the scan. "Got it......this is still honey with.....an interesting binding agent and another chemical called Choradine. It melts away most negative aspects in other chemicals and replaces them with a special layer to thicken the main substance it's on. It's legalized here due to how it helps to stabilize many dangerous and unhealthy chemicals." Peter explains as he reads through the notes he had. 

The curly haired troublemaking boy glances over his mentor's shoulder as he tries to figure out what to do. "Alright.....well what about his jetpack? Any information about that thing?" He asked while stroking his chin with his fingers.

The retired superhero nods as he types on his computer, doing research on the jetpack the assassin was using. "About fourteen years ago, that jetpack was made by bee scientists to try and understand how different kinds of bees live their lives. But it was stolen by this man....Oriko Mayashi, a man who was raised in the same temple as Mantis was....But he was nowhere near as good unless he was in the air.....apparently he was also a test pilot for the air force at some point, but was kicked out for his reckless flight patterns." He explained while pulling out this male's info.

"He said he called himself the Bumbler I think.....so it makes sense he has that jetpack......he was right about one thing though....compared to him, I suck at ariel combat." Will pointed out as he tries to think of his next strategy. But try as he might, he knew he wouldn't be a match against this particular villain.....not yet at least...he needed to find a way to outmaneuver this guy.....but how?

Peter glances at Will, who seemed to be deeply concentrating on a strategy. But he knew that the curly haired boy would overexert himself to figure it out...... "Why not just take the night off, figure it out after school. He'll be after you again in no time. I'm sure of that." Peter advised, hoping the young hero would listen to reason. 

The rookie superhero nods in agreement, knowing that his mentor was right. "Yeah......I can't let myself get consumed by this.....it's not going to be helpful to me....." He said calmly before getting dressed in civilian clothes. "Thanks Mr. Parker. I'll see you tomorrow afternoon?"

Peter nods his head in agreement. "Take care of yourself kid.....and don't worry too much about The Big Cheese or the assassin. Something good will come from this. I promise." He assured the curly haired boy as he watched him walk down the street. 

The next morning, the troublemaker enters the high school campus, holding a single backpack strap over his shoulder. He was doing his best to figure out a way to beat this assassin that is after him. However, no ideas came to mind. The bastard was flying too fast to be able to jam up the jetpack, and the jetpack was too dense to truly damage....Not to mention the fact that he didn't have any real plans for dealing with that honey he was using.....no real way to counter it, no method on what to do to use it against him.....he was truly mentally stuck.....

As the curly haired boy thought long and hard about what he should do, he hears footsteps running toward him. "Will! There you are!" It was Gwen calling out to him, her voice tinged with excitement and her footsteps light as she ran toward him. Once she stopped right next to him, the strawberry blonde walked side by side with him. "Did you hear about what's happening to the Big Cheese? How Fisk is trying to get more rent money from them?" She asked him, showing her own concern.
