At the Parker house, Peter was furiously typing on his computer, gathering Intel, information and any news reports he could on the incident last night. As he did, Will crashed in, sweaty and exhausted. "Kid, you're not going to believe this-"
"I know. Seven of my enemies got out of prison!" Will interrupted without waiting to take a breath, throwing his backpack to the side and sprinting in. He also saw the look on Peter's face.....stunned, confused, and trying to process how he could possibly know. "Melony- uhh Black Cat got out of prison and warned me.....now she's probably going to go warn Spider-Man too." He explained briefly.
The retired superhero looks at him with concern, remembering how she broke his heart the last time they met......now she's back in his life like this. "I uh....I'm sorry kid.......how are you holding up after that.....?" He asked awkwardly, trying to be sensitive about the subject.
Will simply brushed it off, knowing he had to focus on the situation coming up. "No time for letting that bother me. I'll get her once I deal with the others that absolutely want to kill me." He said simply as he takes off his civilian clothes, revealing his Spider-Man suit underneath. "What else did you get in terms of information? Because I didn't get any information on who it was in fear of her figuring out I'm Spider-Man."
Peter nods respectfully as he typed on his computer again. "You're not gonna be too happy to hear who they let out. So far it's Bumbler, Soundwave, Mantis, Terrainia, Electro, Doctor Octopus and Heinguard. But there's no trace of who let them out. They just think that someone within let him out." He explained.
Will sighs heavily, annoyance evident in his expression. "I'm willing to bet my web shooters that Fisk is involved in this somehow. Who else would want me dead so badly that they'd hire multiple bad guys to do the job?" He said simply.
The older male nods in agreement. "Okay but why did Melony get out and warn you? Was it possibly a trap to lure you there?" He asked, trying to understand the motives of that assassin.
Will shakes his head in disagreement. "No. Because she came to find me. She wouldn't kidnap me just to drag out Spider-Man. Plus, my spider sense never went off when she spoke. At worst she's out warning me and Spider-Man about this new group of bad guys." He responded, sounding logical and calm.
The retired superhero ponders what his protege was saying. It was obvious to him that Will was speaking from experience instead of emotion. "Well then.......at least you didn't get involved with her again." He said cautiously.
"Yeah well......can't afford to. Especially since I can't fully trust her......." Will said as he looks at the ground, thinking back to when he spent time with the purple haired female. But he immediately puts himself back into focusing on the task at hand. "But.....back to the main objective. Any idea of where they are yet?" He asked, looking more determined now.
Peter nods his head with respect for his protege. "Well, not yet. But they did attack Ryker's from the inside to create a distraction for them to escape in a helicopter. How much do you wanna bet that the police are still struggling with those criminals as we speak?" He asked his protege.
The curly haired rookie superhero sighs in annoyance, understanding just how serious this was. "I wouldn't be shocked..with as many as they have, it only makes sense that the cops would be struggling. As long as they don't get any weapons, or any of their gear it shouldn't be a problem......that being said, i think it's best to check out the situation at Ryker's first. If the cops do need help, I should lend them a hand. Then I'll go find the seven supervillains." He said with determination before looking at Peter. "You had to deal with stuff like that all the time. The multiple supervillains teaming up thing......how bad is it?"
The older male sighs as he thinks back to his days as the web slinger. "Well, back in my day, their were only six members in the group. You got seven, and these guys are more advanced than any of the guys I had to fight back then. Though I'm assuming they didn't change the name of the group much. Instead of six, I'm willing to guess they are known as the Sinister Seven given the members." He explained as calmly as he could. "We can also bet that some of them will either have some tech upgrades thanks to Doc Ock, or a strategy for you, or both."
"Yeah, considering that Octavius is so smart, that is the guy who'd have a plan to try and take me down. Most likely, a strategic placement for every bad guy on the team." Will said, pondering other theories in his head. Best strategy I can think of.....is trying to tear them apart somehow......just not sure how to do that yet..... nor do I know exactly what they'll do.....will they try to send each member after me individually? Will they have a group of two or something? Or will they attack all at once?" But no matter what theories came to mind, he couldn't figure out what kind of strategy would stick the most. This frustrated the rookie superhero more than anything else.
Peter nods while going back to work on his computer. "Right. Well, suit up. Go on patrol and try to figure out anything you can. I'll monitor things from here and try to report back to you with any news I find here." He said calmly while typing.
The curly haired troublemaking boy takes off his clothes, revealing his Spider-Man suit underneath, switching his watch to his standard web shooters, then puts them on both wrists before finally sliding his mask down over his face. "There's one person that I'm willing to guess has some information and might be of some help." He said calmly before heading out through the back window and web swings away gracefully, off to find the one and only person who would be potentially able to help......Melony Amor.....the one who warned Will earlier...now maybe the web head.
(Editor's note: figured this would be a decent place to end this chapter. Kinda a cliffhanger and extends the book a tiny bit more. Hope you're enjoying so far! :3)
