In an apartment complex in Harlem, a room on the fourth floor is dimly lit from a single room. In this room, loud rock and roll music was booming, echoing through most of the area. The time is about 8 pm at night. In the room, clothes were thrown about, and continuing to be thrown around, as if someone was frantically searching for something. "C'mon c'mon where the hell?! Gotta look as badass as possible to..... AHAH!" a male voice shouts as he pulls out some black clothing and a strange mask with....goggles on the front? Along with that were black combat boots, black gloves, and a strange looking device that looked like two web shooters that seemed to be dented.

This person is Johnny Martinez, Will's best friend, and he was putting on this get up, and staring at himself in the mirror. "Okay yeah, I definitely look awesome....well, more than usual." He said with a smirk before going toward a window and placing his hands on the side of his apartment building and somehow crawling up the wall?! Once he made it all the way up the rooftop, he started running to find any trace of crime nearby to stop. "As he watched from above, The Spider keeps a close eye on the city streets, waiting for any sign of crime and villainy to come his way...." Johnny said to himself, basically narrating on what he was doing.

After a minute of waiting, Johnny sees three crooks about to rob a convenience store, and crawled down the wall. Once he was far enough away, he fired a web and prepared to swing off. However, before he could get far, the web slipped out of his hand and he crashed into the pavement. Thankfully he wasn't that high off the ground, but he was definitely a little embarrassed. So he ran towards the convenience store to stop the crime, in an attempt to redeem himself even a little bit. Once he reached the store, he crashed in. "Hold it right there criminal scum! Or face the wrath of The Great Spider!" He shouted with pride in what he was saying..... mostly..... 'God I sound so cool!....except the name..may need to work on that.' He thought to himself.

The crooks seemed nervous to hear his voice. "Look out! It's Spider-Man!"

"You idiots it's not Spider-Man! That ain't his suit!"

"What if he changed it up?!"

While the criminals were distracted, Johnny fired his web shooters at them. The unfortunate part about that was .....the webs not only didn't shoot out very far, but it came out in a massive glob. "Well..... consider that your warning shot!" He shouted, trying to sound intimidating.

The criminals all looked at each other in confusion. Whoever this goofball was, he wasn't Spider-Man, and he was definitely not going to be any form of a threat to them. So they grabbed their chains and crowbars, preparing to kill the boy. "Warning shot eh? Well how bout I give you a warning?" One of them shouted, getting ready to swing their crowbar at Johnny, who barely dodged and punched him in the face. But unlike Spider-Man's punch, which would send them flying, this punch didn't do so. It hurts, but only a little. "Heh....this guy's definitely no Spider-Man! Kill him!" The guy Johnny hit shouted, prepared to beat Johnny down.

With a high amount of fear, Johnny started to randomly throw punches, his arms flailing around to try and hit any of the criminals. While some hits landed, others were dodged and soon, Johnny took a hit to the stomach, falling back against a wall. Realizing he had little chances of getting out of this, Johnny started to not know what to do. "You won't get away with this!" He shouted, trying to not sound scared out of his mind. However, the trembling of his own voice betrayed him, and none of the criminals backed away from him.

Meanwhile, in the night sky above, Will was swinging through Harlem in his Spider-Man costume, gracefully searching for any sign of either Fisk's Fists, criminals, or new Supervillains on the loose. "It's getting kinda late Mr. Parker......we sure there's much to worry about?" He asked Peter over the coms.

"Patience Will. Just because it's calm now doesn't mean there won't be activity forever. Besides, you're almost done. Then you can go home and relax." Peter assured his protege while eating a slice of pizza.

Will sighed softly as he landed on a rooftop, looking around for any suspicious activity. "I get what you're saying, but crime's pretty slow right now. There's no way there is anything that I need to worry abou-" but before he could finish his sentence, he heard the sound of someone shouting, fear imminent in his voice. He made out exactly what the voice said, and he immediately knew what that meant. "Not one word...." He mumbled, swinging into action. He crashed through the convenience store, kicking two of the criminals and webbed them both to walls. "Sorry, was this inconvenient for you?" He quipped, looking at the last criminal, who was standing over Johnny, who was unmasked and laying on the ground struggling to stand up.

The criminal grit his teeth, sinking his foot deep into Johnny's stomach. "You're gonna let me go now, or your little sidekick gets it!" He threatened coldly.

"SIDEKICK?!" Johnny shouted in annoyance, too stunned to move as if he had just been insulted.

"Sidekick? Are you joking?" Will joked casually before webbing the criminal, and yanking him forward, tossing him out of the convenience store. "I don't do sidekicks bud, just like you don't do thinking." He mocked before webbing the same criminal up a light pole. He then gets up, helping Johnny stand up again. "You okay? Anything broken?" He asked him with a light amount of concern.

Johnny accepted the Web Head's help, and stood up. "Yeah .....yeah I'm good. Thanks Spider-Man......" He says honestly while dusting off his suit and sliding his mask back over his face.

Seeing this, Spider-Man wrapped an arm around Johnny's shoulder and walked them out. "Look, what you did was brave, but also extremely stupid. Next time, leave this hero thing to the pros." He advised gently before swinging off for the night.

Hearing this advice, Johnny looked at his gloves, and began to think about what he did. What he did wasn't very skilled, and Spider-Man defeated those guys with ease .... himself however? He could've been killed. Maybe Spider-Man was right.....maybe he shouldn't be doing this........ nah. He wasn't going to give up so easily. He was going to go back out there, and do even better against different criminals. He was hoping New York was ready. Because there's about to be two spiders in it defending it!

(Editor's note: a bit of a silly chapter, but it has its purpose.....mostly. Hope you're enjoying so far! :3)
