Later that evening,Wil was at Peter's house, pondering things in his head with his mentor.....about how the son of the mayor became this rampaging beast that almost killed him. "It doesn't make sense. He wasn't hiding this power when I last met him, I would've sensed that kind of danger he had......right?" He asked, trying to make even a tiny amount of sense out of all this.
Parker clasped his hands in front of his face, doing his best to think about this as much as the curly haired boy. After all, he was right about this. He definitely didn't have those powers. "Speaking from experience, you would've been able to if you're that detailed, which you of course, are. So this only means one thing. Do you remember when you stopped Fisk from his plans of spreading the failed Super Soldier serum across the city?" He asked Will.
The rookie superhero looked at Peter, a small amount of confusion now on his face. "Yeah, I threw a canister of the stuff at him and he shot it. So?" After asking that question, he starts to realize just what his mentor was implying. "Are you saying that it got on him, and he turned into that....thing because of me?" He then asked, confirming this theory, to which Peter nodded his head. "Good." Will then said bluntly, leaving Parker to look at him with a hint of anger. "Hey, Fisk is as corrupt as they come, and his son is no better. Always slinking away, hiding their problems under the rug like spineless cowards. Well at the very least Richard Fisk can't hide as easily anymore. Now it's personal." Will told him bluntly.
Peter sighed, understanding where Will was coming from. At least he wasn't planning on killing Richard....right? "He's going to kill a lot of people just to get to you. You know that right?" He asked, waiting for Will to answer.
The curly haired rookie hero nodded his head. "He's certainly welcome to try. But I'm going to be sure to take him down and get that scum put away for good. There's no cure for his sick, twisted mind, and I intend to make sure he never harms anyone ever." He assured Peter, getting ready to fight this foe.
Peter heard his protege's tone of voice, showing deep concern for what he may do. Could his fears be coming true? Could his desire for revenge be corrupting his choice about wanting to help people? Was he..... planning to kill him? "Careful kid.....you're starting to sound too vindictive....."
Will glanced back at Parker, his eyes more serious than before. "What do you mean? I'm just making sure I help this city. Except with my way that help includes making sure that monster is put in a cage where not even daddy dearest can get him out." He told him before heading out the door, ready to get back in his Spider-Man costume.
Meanwhile, Richard, still in his monstrous reptile form, was hiding in the sewers, heading back to Wilson's office to calm himself down just enough to come up with a plan. Or at least so he could do his own version of a report of what happened. Soon, he burst into Fisk's office through the floor, his fangs and claws ripping through the floorboards.
Wilson saw this coming however, waiting for his son to return. "Richard..... I had seen the news. Are you alright? Did you learn anything?" He asked, showing genuine concern for his son's well-being.
Richard growled slightly, his anger still showing. "As much as I hate saying it, everyone who fought him has a right not defeating him. That bastard is far too fast, and hits much harder than he looks like he can." He admitted, showing some bruises on his face. "But this doesn't mean I'm going to just give up. I'm going to rip that punk apart myself. No matter what it takes." He growled out, his tail now swinging wildly around.
The corrupt mayor of New York looked at his son with sympathy in his eyes. "I know I've said it many times, but we will eliminate him. We just need time to find another worthy candidate willing to kill the wall crawling worm once and for all, or any assassin willing to gamble everything to kill him." He told his son, trying to calm him down in any way possible.
But Richard wasn't having any of it. "You said it yourself dad. If you want something done right, you must do it yourself. Well....that is exactly what I'm about to do now." He told his father, going back down to the sewers. With that, he was out of his father's sight.
Wilson looked down the hole his son burst in through, feeling immense pain and guilt for not being able to help his son. He couldn't find a cure, he couldn't eliminate the reptilian DNA from his own, he couldn't even get rid of the new Spider-Man. He felt like a failure in this....but he was now more determined to get rid of the wall crawler. All he had to do was get his son back first......for his safety was far more important than anything else at this moment, not just for his position of power, but to be sure he showed his son just how much he's thinking about him.
