About five minutes later, Spider-Man glided until he reached New York once again, then landed on a nearby rooftop. That entire fight took a lot out of him, especially since it involved multiple supervillains he had fought and defeated, most of which with high difficulty. There was no way he was ready to fight the Sinister Seven the way he was now. Not yet at least...... tomorrow......he'd have to rest for now. "Mr. Parker, I hope you don't mind if I get some rest after that chaotic mess." He requested calmly through his normal coms link.

The retired superhero had been watching the entire fight silently through the lenses on screen. "You did good today kid. You stopped an entire prison's worth of criminals from escaping. Get some rest kid. You deserve it. We'll find the Sinister Seven tomorrow." He tells him calmly, a small sense of pride in his voice.

"Yeah.....thanks boss man......" Will said with a small amount of relief before cutting communication for the time being. "Tomorrow it is......." He then muttered to himself, staying perched on the edge of the building. Thoughts started to run through his mind. How dangerous the Seven supervillains would be, especially since they'd be working together. The danger innocent civilians would be in if they were to attack the city. But one that really itched in the back of his mind.......what was in the letter Melony gave him.....what could she possibly say to change his mind...... whatever it was, he decided to read it when he got home, get a little bit of closure for himself......even if it doesn't change his mind, he at least got a chance to read what she was saying.

After 30 minutes of web swinging nearby his neighborhood, Will lands in an alleyway and gets dressed in his civilian clothes, envelope from Melony tucked in his pocket for safe keeping and starts walking towards his house. He pulls out the house key and immediately unlocks the house, stepping in. "Mom, Kenny, Misty, I'm home!" He calls out, relocking the house upon entering.

The two younger siblings immediately ran up to Will, practically tackling him. "Big brother you're home!"

"We thought something horrible happened to you!" The two siblings showed visible concern yet joy that their big brother came home.

The curly haired boy's eyes widen, realization dawning on him. Of course they'd be concerned for his well being.....with the criminals that tried to escape Ryker's, and of course the fact that Carnivorous got out, who could blame them. On top of that, losing their father at such a young age? How could they not be worried that their older brother could suffer the same fate? "Yeah....sorry I scared you both so bad.......but I promise you I was safe at work...... nothing is gonna happen to me.......I promise you that....." He said softly, showing concern for their well-being. He embraced them tightly, sealing his promise to them with a quiet determination.

"Welcome home Will. Did you have a good day today at work?" Ruby asked as she came down the hall, her hair and clothes still dirty with flour from her bakery.

Will chuckles softly, scratching the back of his head. "Yeah I did. After a very long busy day helping Mr. Parker with his physically demanding tasks." He said calmly, standing back up.

The Richardson woman hugs her son close to her. "Have you heard the news about how some dangerous supervillains got out of prison? At first it was seven together, but then a ln eighth got out recently." She asked, informing her son of the news she had heard.

Will nodded his head in acknowledgement. "Yeah, Mr. Parker warned me when I was working. He seemed really concerned about it." He said, showing concern about the situation. "Though I heard that Spider-Man stopped the other supervillains or criminals from escaping."

Ruby sighs with relief. "Yes, thank God for him......he did a lot to help the police today, and assured that the city would have less of them to worry about......." She said, moving towards the kitchen.

Will's eyes widen in shock. He had no expectations for her to be so..... supportive of Spider-Man's work in the city. "I didn't know you were......such a Spider-Man fan mom."

"Truth be told......I don't dislike him. I prefer him over Fisk's men..... especially since it feels like Spider-Man is doing more for the city......I understand why there's some people that don't like him......but I also see the good that superhero has done....." Ruby told Will honestly. "Everyone that's against him says that these supervillains are being made because of Spider-Man's existence......and to some extent that is true....... however........it is also because most criminals are afraid of him.......they fear his existence, of exposing just how evil some people truly are......." She added on, looking back at Will. "I hope you see the good he's doing too...... because he's here.....in all of New York, saving so many lives, including yours........"

Will was stunned by his mother's logical approach to the web slinger overall. What she said was unbiased and made perfect sense. It truly motivated him more to continue to be the hero she believed Spider-Man was, and then some. "I do mom......more than you realize."

Ruby runs her fingers through her son's hair, a sad smile forming on her face. "You know......it's almost that day......a full year since......" She started to say, unable to finish her sentence.

Will knew what she was referring to all too well......the death of his father.....one year ago......only about a week until that day came....... "Yeah......you're right......I remember......." He said, looking down at the ground. How could he not remember that nightmare of a night? The night that his father died right in front of him......the night he failed to save his father.......it both haunted him and motivated him.

"I was..... thinking about making some treats for the family in honor of your father........ because we all miss him......and I feel as if we could all use something to brighten up that day." The red haired woman said gently, stroking Will's back soothingly.

The curly haired troublemaking boy glanced at his mom, smiling softly. "We'd all like that mom......." He said before heading up the stairs. "I gotta head up to do some last minute homework and then head to bed." He said softly before going to his room.

As he enters, Will tosses his backpack near his bed and sits down nearby on the bed. He then remembered something important........the letter Melony gave him. He immediately opened up his backpack and pulls out the letter......a little bit beat up from being in his backpack as long as it was, but he would be able to read it. The letter was sealed by two small stickers.....a pink heart, and a black cat. He opens the envelope and carefully takes the letter out, reading it to himself.

"Dear Will,

Writing this letter may be the most difficult thing I've ever had to do....not because I plan on doing something I'll regret, but because I'm not good at expressing my thoughts.......the words I'm so sorry for everything I've ever done cannot begin to express the guilt I'm carrying. I pushed you away for something I thought I had to do.....and I threw all of that away for revenge.....I wrote this to at least write about how horrible I truly feel, and hope that when I get out of prison......that when we meet, you'll come back to me......I want that more than anything else...... to turn my life around, and to be in your arms..... because out of everything I could ever learn in prison......is that I love you.........hope to see you the day I get out, or at least a little bit afterwards.....

With all of my love,

Melony Amor."

As he read through the letter, the curly haired boy stares at it, thinking about just how badly she hurt him.....but a part of him knew she wasn't lying to him. He folds the letter up and puts it in his backpack, ready to think about it at a later date. For now, he at least wanted to finish up the homework he had, and head to bed. Even though tomorrow was Saturday, he knew he'd have a long day tomorrow. After all, there were still seven super Villains teamed up ready to destroy Spider-Man.

(Editor's note: a semi short chapter but I figured that this one was needed to be shorter. Hope you're enjoying so far! :3)
