In the evening skies close to skyscrapers, watching from near buildings, Spider-Man swung through the majority of New York, desperately searching for any signs of Heinguard. "I'm so stupid! I was too busy thinking like an amateur and didn't bother thinking about putting some sort of tracer on the bastard before he got away!" He muttered to himself. "I can't believe I let him get away at all! He was in my hands I had him!"
"Kid, settle down. I know you're upset, but there's nothing that can be done now. Now you know better for next time to be sure you never lose track of him." Peter told him over their coms link. "Now what I need for you to do is to come back here, so we can discuss this together."
Will scoffed at the idea. "And waste time instead of searching for him? Not an option. I'm going after him, and I'm going to find him no matter how long it takes me." He stated, his voice sounding more angry than ever.
The retired hero could hear the hatred in Will's voice, and it made him nervous. He knew that feeling all too well. "I know you have history with Heinguard, but you'll never find him using the method you're using. You need to widen your search, and you especially need to calm yourself down. You're in a very bad headspace, like how you were with Richard. Only this is much worse." He said, trying to calm his protege down even a little bit.
"I'm fine. I'm just in need of finding him and making sure to bring him in myself. The police won't be able to handle him as he is now. So it's up to me." Will said in a very serious tone. "If I've learned anything from being Spider-Man for as long as I have......it's that there's a time for action and a time to take serious action. This is one of those serious action moments. The kid gloves are off......" He added on while continuing to swing ahead.
Peter listened to his protege's words carefully. Thankfully, Will wasn't thinking of killing Heinguard, but he was still not in a very good headspace to be trying to fight Heinguard. He was too angry, too full of rage to think clearly. Even if he has a plan, who knows if it would even work fully? "I understand that. But there's times where you need to take a step back and not fight him. Answer me this....why is fighting him so important to you?"
"BECAUSE IF I DON'T HE'S GOING TO KILL EVERYONE I LOVE! I ALREADY FAILED ONCE I REFUSE TO EVER LET THAT HAPPEN AGAIN!" Will shouted from the top of a skyscraper. "I don't have time for this. Are you going to help me track him or what?!" He then asked, getting rather irritated with the situation.
Peter sat in his desk chair, unfazed by Will's angry demand. "I can't do that. Not while you're like this. We will stop him. But you need to trust me on this."
"If you're not gonna help me, fine. I'll just find him myself." He said coldly before turning the coms link off, and going back to his swinging. It was at that moment he felt he was on his own. No asking cops to help him, no mentor to assist him or give him tips, just him, his instincts and experience he had at the moment. But that also meant he had absolutely no leads. So he would have to guess for now. At least that's what he thought until he reached the George Washington Bridge and felt his spider sense go off. Letting his reflexes move him out of instinct, the wall crawler lifted himself in the air, narrowly evading an electrified punch from Heinguard. "Just the bastard I was looking for." He growled out before webbing Heinguard's jet boots, watching him lose control in the air and almost landing at the top of the bridge.
The twisted Fisk's Fists captain stood up from his harsh landing to see Spider-Man land several feet away from him. "So, no quips to make? No little childish jokes? No pointless taunts? No annoying comments to make?" He asked in a condescending tone.
Will's eyebrows furrowed under his mask, clearly visible to those looking. "I'm not in the mood for jokes. I'm just gonna take you down....." He fired a web, swinging towards Heinguard while avoiding blaster fire. Once he was close enough, he landed directly in front of the man in the metal suit, landing a powerful double kick at his foe and landed on a wall behind him. "I wasn't ready for your suit last time you son of a bitch..this time, I'm at the top of my game!" He tackled Heinguard, tumbling on the ground with him before getting pinned himself.
