As he swings through the skyscrapers of the Financial District, Will thinks about the newer hero... Arachnichimp? What kind of name was that? Where did this guy even come from?.....but as he thinks about it more..... something about this guy was.... familiar. Was it his voice? It'd have to be something about his voice. He had heard it somewhere before.....school most likely. But who was it?.....it wasn't as big and bulky....or as stupid sounding as Cruiser, and Johnny put his suit away......at least he was certain of that.......it couldn't be anyone in his typical friend group.....then who could it possibly be? But he also couldn't help but think back on that super soldier serum that they got rid of......they made more of that junk......if they did that, they'd create way more supervillains than ever .....which would definitely not be good for New York, nevermind himself. Was there more out there? If so, where? "Parker, you got a trace of what that serum stuff looked like right?" He asked his mentor over come.
Peter types diligently on his computer, already gathering the necessary data for his request. "Already one step ahead of you kid. Shouldn't take me too long." He tells him calmly while studying the contents. If he could get a good scan on the serum, he'd be able to find other places holding this dangerous serum. "There's a few warehouses with vats of the stuff. On the waterfront, warehouse 65."
Will nods as he gets ready to head off to find it. But before he could get very far, he hears an explosion in the middle of the city. "I really hope you didn't miss another....." He grumbles as he swings off towards the danger.
"No. That warehouse has the biggest supply of the serum. Whatever this is, it's completely different." Peter explained as he scans the area Will is in. "It's.... definitely dangerous. Something.....dark......it's definitely got something to do with the super soldier serum this time." He adds on while watching Will move as fast as he can to get to the threat. "Are you worried about the other spider hero getting involved?"
"A little. I don't know where he came from, or how long he'll remain stable. Hell I don't even fully know where he got his powers from. But I'm hoping to find out soon....maybe stop him if things go south." Will answered as he swings through the city. "I'm also concerned he got his powers through that same serum somehow.....like he got it before this exposure." He added on, showing his concern.
Peter contemplates the idea in his head, trying to figure out the best way to help his protege on the sidelines. "I'll tell you what. Your school got their security cameras from me about 10 years ago. But I might be able to acquire the footage through a very specific and extremely secure feed. I don't usually do this but I have access to the previous recordings. But you're concerned. So I'll do this once." Peter said as he starts typing on his computer, searching for the footage.
The curly haired troublemaking boy visibly relaxes as he hears his mentor's reassuring gesture. It made sense to him how the retired hero was doing this. Since it was coming from his own technology, he technically had access via storage.... storage that he technically had access to on his side. Normally Will wouldn't like doing this either. However, this was an emergency, so, like Peter, he was willing to make an exception. "Thanks Mr. Parker...." He said softly as he gets closer to the battlefield. Upon closer inspection, Will could see the dark energy bursting upward, as if being shot in a beam on purpose. "Whoever it is now, they've got this strange black energy."
"Did you say black energy?" Peter asked with a shocked reaction.
"Uh-huh. Familiar with that by any chance?" Will asked, contemplating any previous villains with a power like this.
The retired hero sighs softly as he thinks back to one of his old enemies from his Spider-Man says. "Sadly yes..but I doubt that this is the same person with the same powers......most likely someone else with similar powers." He responded, a small part of him hoping, no..... praying that it wasn't who he thought it was....Martin Li..... Because that could be serious trouble for the web head.
