As he swings through New York, Alex thinks about how he yelled at Spider-Man earlier. It made him feel immensely guilty, but also frustrated. He didn't mean to get so upset at the hero.....he just had so much going on in his mind, with his mutation, and how he suddenly has six arms instead of just two. Of course he could find ways to make this useful in combat, but he would never be seen as just a normal person again. He'd have to constantly be on the run, never able to go home, and stay as Arachnichimp forever.....he never felt like he could live a normal life again and that was a devastating thought. He had to figure out what was going on, before things got worse. "Gotta get home.... get a DNA sample and study my blood closer. That's the only way I'll understand what's happening to me....." He said to himself frantically. Once that was done, he fully intended to try to find a cure, take Fisk down, and apologize properly to Spider-Man.
Once he gets to his home, Alex sneaks in quietly, being sure to not alert anyone in his apartment to not scare his parents. He knew for a fact that if they saw him like this, they'd inevitably freak out. Once he got in his room, he takes a small blood sample from his arm and puts it in his microscope, ready to get to work. He studied the sample closely, taking in data on it on his computer and figuring out what was going on with his blood. Why was he changing so drastically? He had to find out, so he could prove if he wasn't a danger, or if he could turn evil and cause destruction.
The nerdy boy would switch from looking in his microscope to his computer, doing his best to study for any unusual anomalies in his blood. But after a few moments, he found the traces of the super soldier serum that transformed him into the hero he wanted to be. He studied exactly what was in it, and there seemed to be double the dosage of what was normally in the serum. Which means that not only did it somehow give him the powers of both a spider and a monkey, but it was also accelerating his transformation, and making him more mutated than human.
Upon learning this revelation, Alex was feeling immense anger....anger at the mayor for giving him this clearly untested serum, anger at the nurse for not warning him of the dangers of taking that serum, and anger at himself for taking it in the first place. But he never bothered to question it......all because he wanted to be stronger.....all because he wanted power.... "How could I have been so stupid......? I should've questioned it......" He mumbled to himself in frustration, starting to feel himself transforming further. As he looks into a mirror in his room, he starts to see his face starting to turn more into a monkey's face.....then his hands......all six of his hands......so he quickly leaves, mask no longer needed .....at least in his own mind, and swung through the city.
Unfortunately for Alex, he had been followed by one of Fisk's men, who was monitoring where he lived. "Sir, I found the Arachnichimp you were asking about. You were right. It was the kid." The man said, confident in his stealth capabilities. But of course he felt he deserved to be that confident. After all, he followed Alex when he clearly wasn't paying attention to his spider sense or even his surroundings. He just swung through the city blindly trying to get home in a frantic hurry.
Fisk hears this and nods his head in understanding. "Very good then. You know what must be done." He tells him knowingly before shutting down commissions for now.
The man nods as he prepared for the next step in his mission. "Now......it's time to find the kid's parents." He says to himself before disappearing into the evening sky.
Hours pass and Alex was web swinging through the city when he sees a strange man wearing Fisk's Fists armor on a rooftop and was immediately suspicious of this man. So he dives down, knowing that he wouldn't be recognizable with his monkey features and lands near the soldier. "You're all alone out here. That's a terrible idea when facing someone like me buddy." He attempts to quip, showing he was ready for a fight.
However, the man didn't look very intimidated. In fact, he looked as if he was ready for the Arachnichimp to arrive. "So nice to see you.....I was hoping to run into you, and show you why I wanted to run into you.....Alex St. James." He said casually, showing no fear in his eyes.
Alex's own eyes widen in shock and horror at his identity being discovered. But then it hit him....this bastard followed him when he was in a hurry, not paying attention to his surroundings........ "What do you want?" He demanded, his eyes burning with hatred.
The man simply throws a holographic projector at him, showing the hero two different holographic images....one of each showing his parents, dead and bleeding on the ground at their respective jobs. This guy tracked where his parents worked, and murdered his parents. "To show you what happens when you don't comply with the boss." The man said bluntly.
All Arachnichimp could do for several seconds was stare in disbelief......this guy actually killed his parents....... Fisk......Fisk sent them to do it. With this realization, something in his mind .......snapped......broke him entirely..... "I'm gonna kill you for what you did ......" He growled out before webbing the soldier's gun away, crushing it effortlessly. Knowing that scared him a little, he then lifts him up with four arms, each of those arms gripping onto one limb each while the other two began to beat into the soldier without any mercy. He was definitely going to complete his goal......he was definitely going to kill him. Then, he was going to go after Fisk......he already had ideas for where he was hiding.
Soon enough, Alex had beaten this soldier to death, and throws his body off the rooftop to hit the ground. He then swung off to go after Fisk, no battle plan, no calming down first....... because Fisk was going to pay for what he did to his family.......
(Editor's note: a relatively shorter chapter, but for what's coming up, it'll be worth it. Hope you're enjoying so far! :3)
