Further Mutations?! Alex's Metamorphosis!

It had only been a couple of days since Mr. Negative was defeated, and Arachnichimp wasn't getting any praise for defeating the dark energy covered villain. He didn't mind that too much since the fact that he beat the bad guy, and more importantly, his first super powered villain, was vindicating in its own right. Especially since doing this meant that he saved people doing so. Though it was an interesting feeling.... being the one who was fighting and overpowering his foes instead of being the one overpowered by everyone around him. It felt as if the power dynamic shifted a little bit.....but of course, he had to keep his life as a superhero a secret now..... because he couldn't risk people getting hurt..... however, with him now having a monkey tail.....that became harder to hide. He had to keep his tail hidden in his pants to not arise suspicion, and had to be sure to not use his powers while not in his suit.....a difficult thing in his mind, since he really wanted to mess with the bullies who picked on him.....how vindicating that would be.....but he knew better....at least for now.

Meanwhile, Will was walking down the halls to see Alex, holding his backpack. Will knew this kid's secret.....the powers he had. Thankfully, he didn't use them maliciously. Though he did see just how badly the nerdy boy wanted to.....and from looking at it from another perspective, he understood why. He had power now, he could defend himself......he could get revenge on those that hurt him, yet he didn't. He clearly wants to help people, just like how he himself wants to. The curly haired boy just hoped that no one would try to attack him on campus ....as ridiculous as that sounded..... As the day passes on, he heads to class, seeing Gwen walk up to him. "Hey there Gwen. You used to your Junior year yet?" He asked with a slightly awkwardness, trying to start a conversation.

Gwen giggles at his attempt at small talk, looking up at him. "It's not too different from last school year. Just One year difference is all. But......yes. It feels like my new teachers challenge me a little more on an intellectual level ya know?" She tells him with a soft smile, holding her books close to her chest.

The curly haired boy chuckles softly at her explanation, finding her passion for this education to be endearing..... adorable even. "If anyone will conquer this challenge, it's you Gwen." He says to her with confidence, placing a hand on her shoulder in an attempt to make a  comforting gesture.

The strawberry blonde blushes softly at his words, tucking a stray strand of hair out of her face. "Thank you....." She says sheepishly while trying to regather her thoughts. "What about you? You settling in your classes well?" She asked him, trying and failing to not seem so flustered.

Will smiles softly at her. "Still a little bit too early to determine yet. But I'd say I'm getting a little better with everything now." He said calmly, one hand in his pocket, while the other clutches his backpack strap. "I'm glad we have a couple of classes together at least." He then adds, feeling his confidence shoot up slightly.

The strawberry blonde blushes softly at his statement, having a better understanding of what he thought of her. "Me too......and lunch. Never forget lunch." She slightly teased at the end. "But do you have any extra carricular activities you wanna join?" She then asked him, trying to keep the conversation going before they had to go to class.

The curly haired boy ponders the thought, thinking if he should. But then he started to think in more detail about his last few months as the web head. "I hear the school is talking about forming an engineering club. Well .....I might join that. It might expand my knowledge and understanding of technology a little more." He tells her with a soft smile.

Gwen tilts her head a little bit, intrigued by his answer. Engineering? That wasn't quite the answer she had expected from him. She expected him to say he'd form a martial arts club or something. "What makes you wanna join the engineering club? I mean, not to sound judgemental it's just-"
