An hour after the fight, Will sits on Peter's couch, unmasked while wiping sweat off his brow. "That guy was so fast and way stronger than I anticipated.....he wasn't as strong as Kraven's new animalistic form as Carnivorous or anything.......but he definitely was close. Even then, whatever that vest was made out of, it softened the blow of my attacks." Will explained, watching the retired superhero hard at work on his computer.
"Allocine, a fabric heavily padded with a metal meant to be comfortable, durable and easy to move in. It's mostly made for storage and defense. Though the materials to make these vests are illegal in this country." Peter explained as he shows Will his computer screen. On it, showed the vests interior and exterior.
Will looks at the screen with curiosity. "So....kinda like my suit but.....made with legal materials?" He asked, trying to understand his mentor.
Peter looks at Will over his shoulder. "Something like that. But yours is thinner and built to be more cloth while being durable enough to protect enough from burns, and other various things. While his is more durable, you're still faster." He explained, hoping to simplify it for the boy, who nodded in understanding....at least basic understanding. "Side effects for Allocine vests can be a change in biological structure, and it bonding to the wearer due to certain materials requiring to attach to them in some way."
Will's eyes widen in shock. "Do you have any idea how this guy turned into this zoo animal on so many steroids it'd put Arnold Schwartznager to shame? He asked, earning him a look of surprise and a hint of respect from Will knowing him. "What? My mom and dad apparently watched a lot of old Terminator movies before I was born." He shrugs casually.
The retired hero immediately went back to work, soon pulling up an old file on the villain in question. "Bogdon Sokolov, a man formerly in the Russian military who specialized in a large majority of combat scenarios. He went through an experiment to make him the ultimate super soldier to eliminate many threats. At one point he ran into Kraven and formed a rivalry when they were both hunting the same creature. Eventually Bogdon was discharged after being labeled AWOL from certain missions, and some others of him going off mission follow whatever Vendetta he had. He kept the vest on for months for survival. Combining it with the unstable super soldier serum he took, it changed him dramatically....at least that's what most of the records say." He said as he read off the details.
Will ponders thoughts in his head as he listened to his mentor talk. "You think the part that's deleted is something about him working for Fisk's Fists? Because that name sounds familiar." He asked, trying to remember anything he could.
"I wouldn't be too surprised by it. Fisk would want him to be able to not be hunted too much, and it would explain how his records disappeared from in between his time in the military and his time in the jungles or forests. They wouldn't want to risk someone like him being exposed as a criminal. No if it means he has a chance to be reelected as mayor as long as he wants." The retired hero explained, folding his arms over his chest.
Will nods in understanding, his eyebrows furrowed in slight frustration. "Politically it makes sense to hide his records from any prying eyes.......how much you wanna bet this guy's gonna have some crazy upgrades to their weapons?" He asked, already having a strong feeling for how their next meet up will be like.
Peter lets out a heavy sigh, folding his hands together in front of his face. "Knowing how Fisk operates.....absolutely. But we don't know what he will want for his arsenal, nor if he will be more prepared than before. So be careful kid." He said, trying to not sound too concerned, nor too detatched.
Meanwhile, at Fisk's lab, Tightnight re enters from the battle, landing somewhat gracefully on the ground. However, he was still feeling some pain from where the web slinger had hit him. He'd see Fisk in the distance, staring at him with a hint of disappointment. "My apologies for my failure Mr. Fisk. It would seem that this boy was more of a challenge than I had anticipated him to be....." He said with a hint of shame in his voice.
Wilson walks up to his hired hunter, his disappointment slowly dissipating as he got closer. "I did warn you he was tougher than you'd anticipate....however, I do not blame you for this one. After all, this was just a first meeting. You will have a better understanding of what he is capable of by now." He said calmly, hands on his cane.
The tiger themed hunter nodded his head calmly. "Indeed. I am going to need some upgraded weapons for what is to come. Something to truly make this bug squirm......" He said with calm authority.
The corrupt mayor smirks slightly upon hearing his request, guiding him further into the lab. "Step on in then, one of our head scientists, Dr. O will be able to assist you with your request." He tells him gently, watching him walk deeper in the lab.
Tigernight continues on down the hallway, looking all around at the scientific marvels around him. Weapons, armors, vehicles, chemicals and more, all being made in this one lab. It fascinated the hunter to see such technology all around him, and he knew that some of it that is being made will help him indefinitely. At last, he would reach a doorway to a specific lab, the words "Dr. O" being seen in big letters on the window. "I suppose this is the pla-"
"Ah, you must be the mighty Bogdon I have been told to assist should the need come. I heard you might be coming." Dr. O said calmly from behind him. "Please, come into my office. You will like what I have to offer you." He tells him while walking up to the office, waiting for the tiger themed hunter to follow him.
Bogdon followed without hesitation, preparing for what he was going to see. As he walked in, the hunter's eyes widen in shock and awe from what he was seeing. Upgraded weapons and armor, and a strange looking backpack. "How fascinating......you have built just about everything......" He mumbled while staring at the backpack in particular, almost as if sensing something about it.
"Please do not touch that....." Dr. O requests calmly. "It is not quite ready yet, and it will be designed for someone else entirely. Your weapons are coming up soon enough." He added on as he made Tigernight follow him. Not long after, he'd see many types of weapons a hunter would use, but more advanced than what Tigernight had. "This rifle has multiple settings, sniper rifle, semi automatic, automatic, it can come apart to become multiple hunting pistols. Your grenades are specially designed hunting nets made of pure energy. With a proper charge, it can electrocute your target. Your jetpack will take you twice as high, and help you move four times as fast as your old one. Last but certainly not least, your machetes, they can be normal blades or plasma blades, able to cut almost anything that stands in its way. It can also pull apart to make several daggers." The mad scientist explained with a confident smirk.
Tigernight observed each weapon carefully, studying how they work meticulously. He attached them to him before putting the new Jetpack on to replace the old one. "Light yet durable......you designed this to take a beating. Impressive." He said while beginning to fly on the jetpack, ready to find the wall crawler once more. This time, victory would belong to Tigernight.....this he swore.
(Editors note: I'm definitely trying to get writing done. Unfortunately, I had a problem with executing this chapter 😅 but regardless, I hope you're enjoying so far! :3)
