A day after the incident with the Iron Spider, Will was getting ready for school to start up in about three weeks. With his life as Spider-Man, the curly haired boy was becoming busier and busier, which meant it was harder for him to get certain jobs done. But he wasn't complaining much. He was spending time with his friends and getting a little closer to Gwen, talking to her on the phone, texting her, and finding days to hang out with her. His life was becoming a little easier in some ways. Sure fighting supervillains that wanted to kill him on a daily basis was becoming more routine, but it was truly testing his skills as a superhero. "Okay, got my pencils, pens, notebooks, and more to help me with whatever I may need. At least I'll be ready for school to start...." He muttered to himself as he walks back to his house with confidence. 'Of course I wish I could tell people how I really spent my summer vacation.... swinging across the city, fighting bad guys, saving New York..... it'd be incredible to see everyone's reactions.' He thinks to himself as he enters the house, and setting his new supplies in his room.
It didn't take long before the boy's phone rings, but the rookie superhero picks up his phone to see Peter calling him. "Mr. Parker, everything okay?" He asked, trying not to sound too worried or casual.
"I need you to come see me as soon as you can. It's urgent." Peter said, getting straight to the point. Will was definitely able to tell that something about the way Peter Parker was talking, that he was serious about this, which meant something was very wrong.
"I got patrol soon so I'll be able to talk to you then instead." Will said calmly as he gets in his Spider-Man suit, leaving through the nearby window of his bedroom and swinging away on another web. "So, how urgent is urgent? Are we talking like Wilson Fisk urgent, another friend or classmate trying to be me urgent or like...I dunno, Armadillo-Man?" He asked, slightly joking at the end.
Peter rolls his eyes at Will's joke, typing something on his computer. "There's some reports through parts of Harlem, near where you live actually, about a tiger man with unusual armor and weapons searching for you." He explained, trying to do research on this strange newcomer.
The web slinger lets out a soft sigh, becoming more used to strange individuals attacking him so wildly. "A tiger man? Doesn't sound like Kraven got out..... that's just one animal....." He said, trying to think logically about who it could be. "Fisk will get anyone or anything he can just to try and kill me huh?"
The retired hero nodded despite the fact his protege wouldn't be able to see it. "Afraid so. The price you pay for being a superhero who saves a city from corrupt authority figures." He stated matter of factly. "I'm doing research on him now, because this guy is definitely new to me."
With a hint of frustration that he was going in blind, Spidey swings through the city in search for this strange villain. "In the meantime, I'll introduce myself to The Striped Freak show." He said calmly, doing his best to not show fear to this new threat.
Tigernight wasn't even facing the web head, but could hear him landing on a water tower thanks to his hearing. "So you're the famous Spider-Man I've heard so much about......I expected someone a little more.... experienced, better....." He turns to face the superhero. "Not someone in a Halloween costume."
Will's eyebrows furrowed under his mask, staring at his new foe. "So you're the tiger guy scaring people in Harlem.....you're shorter than I expected." He teased, staring him down without fear.
"You talk big for such a little man....let me see if you can back it up." Tigernight called out, pouncing up toward the young hero, claws extended towards him, which he was able to dodge. "You're good....at dodging."
"You should see me dancing. I got the highest score on those old dancing video games you see in arcades." Spider-Man quipped, landing behind him with a grin under his mask. Once he saw Tigernight charge at him again, he watched as this hunter pulled out a katana and sliced at his direction, narrowly missing by a hair. "Claws and a sword?! What? Were your guns in the shop?!" He quipped as he hits his wrist, forcing him to drop the katana. He then lands a quick kick to his face, sending him skidding back. Tigernight growls in response, pulling out a plasma pistol, firing at his Arachnid target, who dodged. "Oh my God- I was joking about that! Good thing I didn't bring up a rocket launcher!" He quipped again, dodging each shot fired at him.
