Later that same evening, Will was in Queens, taking his time to try and explain who this new.....hero was, and potentially discover just how he got his powers. "I don't know too much about him, but he goes to the same school as me. Kinda a nerdy kid who got picked on by my school's bullies. Not a bad kid by any means. In fact, I do believe he wants to help people alongside me. But how did he get these powers?" He asked with confusion.
Peter listened intently while typing on his computer with furious speed. "Alexander St James. Or Alex as he mostly goes by. He was given a shot by the school's nurse, told that this..... special medicine can make him stronger than he was. In other words, our lovely mayor gave it to him and he must've decided to take it to be stronger." He said while doing his research. "You are right though. Based on his movements, attack patterns, and how he helped civilians as well as you, it's obvious he wants to be a hero like you. He just doesn't have proper guidance yet." He then adds on.
Will leans on his mentor's chair, looking at the computer screen to get a better understanding of what he was seeing. "Okay, at least I'm not wrong there. But here's a very important question. How'd he get these specific powers? I know, super soldier serum. But like..... how'd it grant him with those specific powers of a monkey...or primate and a spider?" He asked, trying to make sense of the entire situation. But no matter how hard he tried, it didn't add up. But then again, he wasn't a scientist like Peter...so of course he didn't fully understand everything yet.
Peter types again, pulling up another screen on his computer to show the serum. It showed the density of the liquid, it's compounds and strength and, and more on what this super soldier serum was capable of. "Take a look at this. These numbers show dosages of certain ingredients added to make this serum. Here's the original one you stopped. It has Mutegene in it, but it has other ingredients. Here? It has a larger concentration of Mutegene than any other ingredient." Peter explained, seeing his protege slowly starting to understand. "But for some reason he's not mutating like the others. My guess is that this serum increased his immune system to a better degree, and his blood type is a B+. So it seems to be giving him the power without turning him into a monster like the others." He theorized while stroking his chin with his fingers. Though if he was being completely honest, he wasn't entirely sure if this theory was even correct. He'd have to do more research on this serum, and this Arachnichimp.
Will nods in understanding. "Alright, well.....seems to me that we'll just have to make sure Alex doesn't do anything too reckless....I'll do my best to help him, but I make no promises I'll be that big of a help." He said with a hint of concern.
"He looks up to you. If anything, he'll just do what you do every time you fight. Monkey see monkey do." He attempted to joke at the end, chuckling to himself.
The curly haired boy rolled his eyes at his mentor's joke, but even he had to admit, he'd make the same joke if Peter didn't. "Okay, so we got some information on our new masked hero..what about that Mr. Negative guy?" He asked, ready to get information on the city's newest supervillain.
Hearing his protege's determination and focus, Peter immediately switched from the serum to the bad guy on his computer. "Timothy "Timmy" Tolleson. Typically a delivery driver for the criminal underworld. But when he has to fight, he has some experience with martial arts, including sword combat. His weapon of choice consisted of a sword with dark matter infused in it. An experimental weapon that was deemed illegal in the US over 6 years ago. The weapons were deemed far too dangerous due to the tendency of being unstable during combat, especially in fast paced combat scenarios." Peter explained while reading Timmy's file.
Will's eyes widen when he heard about the illegal dark matter weapon. "Wait.......that's gotta be how this guy got his powers....." Will said with realization. "His sword cut open a vial of the serum.... Some of it splashes on him, and afterwards, his own sword stabbed him in the leg.... accidentally of course....but the point is, the dark matter infused with the serum and gave him those fancy dark powers....." He said as he contemplates how insane this theory sounded.
The retired hero nods in agreement. With his previous experience of his life as Spider-Man, and what he knew of the current super soldier serum that's out in the world.....this did make sense. "Now we just need to find a way to beat him.....and as much as I'm sure you won't like it, I think the best way to find out is by finding this Alex friend of yours and work together to beat him." He tells Will, waiting for his reaction.
The curly haired superhero contemplates the idea his mentor came up with. Admittedly, he didn't like this idea......but he also knew that it very well might be the best idea. Plus, maybe he could help the nerdy boy in teaching him how to be a proper hero. "I get it......and I don't totally disagree. But he's not quite as experienced as me ya know?" He said, almost hesitating to say this. But what other choice did he have?
"I understand you're hesitation. He hasn't had his powers as long as you've had yours, and this Mr. Negative guy is a dangerous first supervillain with this kind of power to deal with. But he seems determined to stop Fisk too." Peter brings up while looking at his protege.
Will sighs as he slides his mask down. "I'll do my best to find him. I'll help him any way I can." He finally said before leaving through the window and web swinging away. Wherever Alex was, the rookie superhero just wanted to find him before it was too late
