I'mIt didn't take long before Spider-Man and Melony, also known as the Black Cat, sprung into action with Jonathan Stacy. "Remember Cat, you're following my lead on this! Stray from my orders too much and I will put you in the cell myself and let Captain Stacy here throw away the key!" Spider-Man warned as he dives down to the nearest group of enemies.
Black Cat nodded silently, thinking back to when he trusted her with this much. "Right......I'll do my best to not let you down." She said softly, though more to herself than him.
Spider-Man immediately landed in front of some criminals headed to the armory, his posture relaxed yet ready for a fight. "Evening folks! Who's ready for their butt kicking class?" He quipped casually as he stares down his foes.
"IT'S SPIDER-MAN!"
"How fitting. The web head that put us in here is gonna get himself killed here." Criminals said in a very confident manner. How couldn't they be so confident. After all, this place was practically filled with criminals, murderers or worse. Against just one guy? This would be a cake walk. They immediately charged after him with makeshift weapons for themselves.
The web slinger would dodge around them effortlessly, his moves nimble, elegant, and agile before countering the attacks with quick punches or kicks. "Don't you guys know that despite the home field advantage, you still got nothing?" He taunted before knocking out another criminal, webbing him to the wall.
Meanwhile, Black Cat jumped from behind her partner, grabbing a criminal's shoulders and throwing him into a group of them charging forward. "Sorry, you'll all have to wait your turn!" She quipped as she kicks another one in the face, then punched one more in the stomach.
Each criminal they defeated, Spider-Man would web to a wall, temporarily incapacitated until the cells were able to contain them all again. He then moves to Jonathan, then hands him a small communication device. "Alright sir. Since this is an emergency, you keep this so we can stay in contact. You go to your tower to fix whatever the problem is. Melony and I can take care of these losers." He commanded before punching another criminal down, then webs him to the ground.
Jonathan takes the communication device, looking at it carefully. "You really trust me that much?" He asked, trying to not sound too surprised.
"You trust me?" Spider-Man asked, looking into the police Captain's eyes.
Jonathan nodded. "Of course I do. After everything you've done so far......and so does my daughter......you're an even better man than I thought Will....." He responded.
Under his mask, Will's eyes widened in shock. How did he know his identity! He never told anyone! "I-I don't-"
"It's alright. I'm not going to tell anyone....least of all my daughter......my wife talked to you a lot. So I put the pieces together in my head......I'm not going to ask you to stay away from my family or anything..... because I know you always help......just promise me you'll never stop trying." He requested, looking sincere and determined.
The web slinger looked at the Police Captain, seeing the trust in his eyes, the determined expression on his face. "Right.......be careful."
"You too..... Spider-Man." Jonathan watched as Spider-Man jumped back into the fight, then sprinted off to a nearby tower, hurrying over to try and solve the problem.
Meanwhile, Spider-Man landed back to the criminals, who were still trying to acquire weapons in the armory. "Sorry, weapons are for those with a certified licence only!" He joked, webbing several criminals away from the door and throwing them against the wall. "And last time I checked you were put in here for a reason!"
"Did you take care of what you needed to? Because if so, things are going bad!" Black Cat shouts as she grapples a fellow criminal with her legs and throws them into the ground to knock him out.
