At one of Fisk's hidden offices for his Fisk's Fists officers, the corrupted mayor of New York paces back and forth, as if waiting for results. "Where are those fools with news on Spider-Man? It has been far too long....they should have reported back by now!" He shouts out, his cane practically pounding down on the ground from the force of how much he is placing the cane on the ground after each step. "I want to know what is happening to the one that is interfering with my plans! I want to see Spider-Man in front of me on his knees!"
With none of Fisk's Fists officers in the office, the web slinger lands in front of him with perfect grace. "Sorry I'm not on my knees there. But if it helps next time I see you, I can get you overalls and a platter to server burgers for Bob." He joked, smirking under his mask.
Wilson glares at his foe, seeing the sleek yet powerful figure in front of him. "You......" He growled out, gripping his cane tightly. "I don't know how you found me.....I don't know how you're here.......but you are not going to-"
"Can it ugly pizza dough maker. We're in a safe space. You got no cameras here. No voice recordings." Spider-Man interrupted immediately, hand out to stop the corrupted mayor. "You get to be your true fat self, and I get to say what I am here for."
Fisk raises his cane up as if to strike, so Spider-Man webbed it to a wall nearby, frustrating the corrupt mayor. So he stares at his annoyance, ready to speak his mind fully. "You did this.....you turned my son into the reptilian creature he is......you destroyed his life......you ruined all of our plans. Now here you are......in my office......for what?!" He asked, his face turning crimson from the rage he was feeling.
Spider-Man takes a step toward Fisk, his eyebrows narrowed under his mask. "After everything you've done.....your serum has turned people into monsters, you keep ruining the lives of others just to get rid of me, you send your police force after me, you send supervillains or assassins to kill me, and you ruined the lives of innocent people like Alexander St. James......" His tone of voice is actually serious, no jokes, no sarcastic comments, no quips, just business. "You're the reason people are dead....and I fully intend to show people the truth about you."
Fisk chuckles, but it was obvious he was still absolutely livid with the web slinging superhero was here. "You think you're making a difference? You're just a naive child, pretending to be making a difference. if you didn't exist, the supervillains would not have come out, and they'd be living their lives. You have no real proof of me doing any true crimes Spider-Man. But you continue to interfere with my current run as mayor." His tone is cold, calculating, precise, trying to get Spider-Man to slip up and attack.
Unfortunately for the corrupt mayor of New York, Spider-Man didn't budge, keeping his mind calm and focused. "Maybe not. But every day your plans are foiled, every day your super soldier serum is used up, and you can't get the necessary ingredients for it, you lose a little bit of control, you lose the fear you held over the city. It'll be slow......but progress is progress......." Spidey said, looking into his eyes. "You're gonna slip up.....and when you do, I'll be there, being sure that your entire empire falls." He adds on as he walks away towards a nearby window. As he opens it, the hero looks towards Fisk one more time through his peripheral vision. "I'll be watching you." with those final words, he web swings away into the city night sky.
Fisk watched as the web head swung off, his hands balled tightly into fists. He then slams his fist into a wall, leaving a large crack on it as his fist starts to bleed slightly from the force. The thought that he didn't get under this Spider-Man's skin compared to the original, and how methodical his speech was, how he couldn't really find any way to twist it in a way that could make himself look bad. It frustrated him..... everything he had built......and was wanting to build was coming apart slowly......he had to work fast, he had to get rid of Spider-Man somehow. But what could he do? After all, Spider-Man was right about one big thing......he didn't have enough resources for his super soldier serum, and he couldn't keep asking for them forever....he just had to be patient, figure out just how to distract Spider-Man.....how to split his attention......he would find a way.....or opportunity would present itself.
One of Fisk's Fists enters his office unannounced, his posture showing dedication as he straightens up, standing at attention in front of his employer. "Sir? What should we do?" He then asks.
Fisk looks back at his employee, trying to control his anger with intense focus. His fist was still dripping blood onto the floor from earlier. He then reaches for his cane that's webbed to the wall and tears it off to grab it. He then slams it down on the ground with authority. "Focus 80% of your resources on Spider-Man......that includes upping the armor, higher level weapons, and more lethal force......" He said through gritted teeth, barely containing his rage. This meant that things were going to indefinitely get worse.......
(Editor's note: shorter chapter, but I wanted that for this one. Something for our hero to quickly meet the biggest antagonist. I think after one more chapter, this book will be complete. Until then, hope you're enjoying so far! :3)
