Nightwing watched the now evil Starfire terrorize the city.
He caused this, it was all his fault and now...he had to kill her.
"It's her life or the innocents" Batman told him, he knew it wasn't going to be easy. He knew there's no way for her to turn back...she was gone...gone forever. She was no longer the innocent alien princess that he fell in love with, she was a monster.
He slipped into an alley quietly.
He forgot what the fight was about or what had caused it. But this is why she was like this.
"Dude, we have to do this. We'll miss her, but we can't let her go around terrorizing people!" Beast Boy's words rang in his head. Why him? Why did he have to kill her? He knew why, but it just seemed unfair.
He pulled her into the alley, crashing his lips onto hers. She tried to fight back, but he wouldn't let her.
Well life was like that, whenever you had happiness it was taken away from you. She was the love of his life, he imagined them getting married and having kids. But that fight changed her. There was absolutely no way of getting her back.
He held the knife against her stomach.
"I'm sorry" he whispered before plunging in in. She screamed in pain and anger.
That scream would resonate with him until the day he died.
The other Titans found him, crying in the alley cradling her dead body. Blood stained his suit, it wasn't his blood though. They began crying, feeling the loss of a friend, but they would get over it.
He would never get over it. The day he killed his love would be burned into his mind forever. His shining star. Nobody could help him, for the rest of his life he will remain hollow.
