Jaime Reyes x Reader [Drabble]

You kept knocking at Jaime's door.
"What the- (Y/N)? What're you-?" You hugged your best friend before he could finish his question.

"(Y/N)...?"
"He...he dumped me..." you mumble as you tried to hold back your tears.

"(Y/N)...do you want to come inside?" Jaime asks softly, you nodded and he guided you inside. You still clung to him and shuffled your feet as he moved.
"Uh, stay here, I'll be right back" Jaime reassured you as he disappeared into the kitchen. You found a box of tissues on the coffee table and began grabbing them so you could wipe your face of your tears and blow your nose.
"Sorry, all we have is ice pops" Jaime apologizes as he handed you an ice pop still in the wrapper.

"Thanks..." you mutter, tears silently streaked down your cheeks as you sniffled once in awhile, you opened the ice pop and stuck it in your mouth not even caring about the cold temperature of the treat.

"Do you want to talk about it? He didn't hurt you did he?" Jaime asks with concern as he put his arm on you.
"Please, he wasn't even near me..." you mutter.

"What?" He stared at you in shock as you half-heartedly ate your ice pop.

"He broke up with me over text...you can see for yourself..." you gave him your phone dully, tears still running down your face. He went into the conversation and read your texts.

I was just using you to get my

grade up in math, but now I

got all the credits I need

Jaime gripped your phone tightly, he was one hard to anger. But now?
He was absolutely pissed.

"I'm going to kill him" he got up and looked ready to leave.
"Jaime-"
"You don't deserve people pulling this kind of crap on you (Y/N)!"
"I know...but, how could I not see it before? Why was I so blind?"

I do not think this is an advisable time to leave (Y/N) alone Jaime Reyes
"(Y/N)...it's not your fault, You were in love, and when people are in love they become blind to things that they didn't think they could become blind to" Jaime softened and sat back down on the couch, your ice pop was already finished and the stick layed on the wrapper by your tissue pyramid.

"Oh Jaime" you started to cry again before hugging him, he wrapped his arms around you gently and stroked your back in an effort to try to calm you down.

"You'll find the one someday (Y/N), I know you will" he told you softly.

"W...when? Nobody's ever expressed interest in me before except for him but...he only wanted to use me..." you sniffled.

No, not yet, she just broke up with her boyfriend, but someday I will...someday... Jaime thought as he held you just a little tighter.
"Hey...my parents aren't home...do you want to watch some Disney movies?" Jaime asks when you fell silent.

"Y...yeah...sure..."
