*That moment when ur supposed to write a Memories chapter but pour your heart into a Lion-O x reader*
This was requested by Apple_the_cat, hope you enjoy this long oneshot of our fav. Thundercat cinnamon roll. (Also this is an inside joke me and Apple have, I'll post the real fanart tomorrow)
"Ugh, my parents are going to kill me" you groan, trudging through the streets of New York. Your satchel kept smacking your thigh lightly with each step. You failed a math test, and therefore you'll have to go to summer school. It wasn't like you had real friends, everyone in highschool hated you, but at least you had friends online to complain to and look for sympathy and reassurance from. And as if the universe decided you hadn't had a worse enough day, the sky decided to open up and bless the earth with it's life giving rain, though you only saw it as a great way to get hypothermia.
"Crap!" You ran as fast as you could to your apartment building, you ran in, slammed the door and the other residents looked at you with wary eyes. This is why I hate the city you thought bitterly, you excelled in all other subjects besides math and one day you wanted to move to the country. Where there was fresh air and wildlife everywhere. You walked up to your apartment and opened the door.
"Hey, I'm home" you tried to smile weakly.
"Sorry hun, I gotta go, the hospital needs me. There's leftovers in the fridge, I love you" your mother rushed past you with an umbrella. Your Dad was working overtime tonight so you had to do everything by yourself, again. But you were used to it, that's what city life was like, everyone was busy. It wasn't your parents' faults they had to work, besides you were already used to the loneliness. After reheating the leftovers and doing your homework you got out your used Surface Pro you got off Ebay, and began to draw for a little bit. After you finished an amazing drawing in your opinion (you're probably gonna hate it in 20 minutes 'cause nitpicking) you decided to get ready for bed. You then proceeded to stay up for another hour and surf the internet. Finding a curious article on your computer.'Why Thundercats 2011 should be revisited' you clicked on it, even though you've never seen the show and a wave of drowsiness took over, making you put your computer back in your satchel before falling asleep.
-Timeskip-
You woke up to what you assumed was the sun beating down on your face and birds chirping in the distance.
"Huh? What? W...where am I?" You got up and looked around, finding yourself in your clothes from yesterday and what looked to be your satchel. Except it looked like it was one of the watertight ones. You slung it on and quickly shot up while looking around.
"Hello? Anyone here?" You called out, you got no response. You got up and dusted off your pants, your immediate response was to call 911. The phone rang before making the little beep, beep, beep sound and dropping the call.
"That's weird, it says here I have full bars" you then tried Google Maps, it began loading before giving you the Error_404 screen.
"Ok, that is definitely weird" you held your phone up as you texted your parents, that didn't work either.
"Seriously!? Why does the universe decide to pick on me!" You angrily shout, done with the universe bullying you.
"Come on universe! Give me your best shot! I can take whatever you dish out!" You held out your arms, ready for whatever your celestial bully had to offer. You were not ready. An arrow hit a tree near you and you've seen enough movies to know it was explosive, so you ran in the direction of it, and past it, so when it would go off, hopefully it would stop whoever was chasing you. Or at least injure them. Your theory was correct 'cause the arrow did explode and you heard some shouts before insanely fast footsteps approached. You looked behind you, which was a really bad idea, 'cause it was an actual, big, frickin' lizard. It was wearing a helmet, with some armor and a giant frickin' spear. While you were internally panicking about this evolution development, it grabbed you.
"Gotcha!" You took 12 years of self-defense classes, one does not simply get you. First thing, hit him where the sun doesn't shine, which surprisingly worked. He quickly let go of you and you knocked him out. Before continuing to run, it was clear the other lizards were either behind, checking to make sure their comrade was ok, or it was a small party that found you. But just in case, you used your book knowledge to make fake trails and stuff until you began climbing trees so they didn't catch you. You used to climb trees often with your now ex-friends in Central Park, and the canopy was so thick you didn't have to worry about dying, 'cause it was a quick jump to each tree. When you were sure you were far enough away you landed and looked around. Your aunt and uncle, knowing your love for the country, took you camping to several different places when you were younger (the last one being two years ago), and taught you not only skills, and showed you not just the best views. They also taught you the flora and fauna of the area and how to respect nature. And right now, you didn't recognize any of the flora. It was possible this could be an area they didn't take you to, but you should've at least recognized some of the plants from other places. The grass even seemed greener here than anywhere else you've been. You could've been in another country, but those lizards proved there was no possible way. You would've heard about giant anthropomorphic lizards on the news. The realization hit you like a truck, you were in another world. You took a step back like it physically wounded you, you were out here, alone. No friends, no family, hell there probably aren't any humans here either. Based off that lizard person you saw before. All you could think about doing was sitting under a tree and crying. There was probably no way to get back home, so you might as well have been grieving. You cried until your eyes were hurt, bloodshot and stung at the same time, until your throat began hurting and would probably give you a scratchy voice, you cried until your nose became full of mucus, you cried until you got an extreme headache from dehydration, you cried like this because you were lost, you were scared, you were grieving and probably gonna die by yourself and all hope was gone. You didn't see the time fly by until it was a few hours until dark, which meant two twins and a certain Snarf were out to collect wood for dinner and fire.
