You rested on a tree with Ino and Shikamaru, today your sensei decided to take the day off so you could bond better as a team. Ino kept fangirling over Sasuke and was doing some Sakura-bashing while Shikamaru kept calling everything 'lame' or 'annoying'. You rested stomach down on a branch as you boredly looked around. You guys were supposed to be bonding to be a better unit, not doing whatever this is. You looked down, seeing Kiba and the rest of Squad 8. You were on fairly good terms with all of them, even with Shino, you were pretty sure. He didn't seem to mind coming at three in the morning to get rid of a super scary spider for you (you were neighbors so it wasn't that big of a deal). You and Hinata bonded over the fact that you had crushes but were too shy to talk to them properly. Then there was Kiba, he was your crush for quite a long time, you just didn't know how to talk to him properly. Well you did, but you guys had to be alone or else your anxiety would kick in and you're just a blushing and stuttering mess. Somehow he hasn't caught on to your feelings yet, he's probably as dense as Naruto, you thought that his denseness made him cuter sometimes.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't Squad 8!" Ino shouts from the tree.

"H...hi Kiba...A...akamaru..." you smiled and waved shyly as Kiba just simply waved back.
"Hey (Y/N)"
"Yip!" Akamaru's tongue lolled out happily when he saw you.

"Where's your sensei?"

"He decided to take the day off but insisted we needed to do team-building exercises, what a drag. I've had to listen to Ino talk about Sasuke for a whole hour now." Shikamaru 'tsked'.

"Interesting, he must've decided that you've earned a break" Kurenai smiled, noticing the way your eyes kept darting from Kiba to literally anywhere else.

"Hmm, come to think of it...you three have been working pretty hard too, take a break for today."
"Whoa, seriously Kurenai-sensei?!"
"Yeah, think of it as a reward for the last mission we were on. I have some other jonin things to do on my own. Substitution jutsu." Kurenai disappeared.
"Wow this is great! Let's go train Akamaru! Whaddaya say?!" Akamaru barked happily as Kiba ran off. Shino just walked off in a different direction with Hinata following. You craned your head to try to see Kiba for as long as you could, Ino smirked finally finding something interesting to talk about other than Sasuke.
"So? You and Kiba huh?" Ino smirked making you become flustered.
"N...no...w...we a...aren't together..." you stutter.
"But you like him don't you?"
"M...maybe a little..."

"A little? You keep staring at him, it's so pathetic" Shikamaru 'tched'.

"I know but...whenever I talk to him in public I...I get so jittery...h...he's so cool and strong...and I'm none of those things..." you played with your fingers as you thought about Kiba.

"You thinking what I'm thinking?" Ino asks Shikamaru mischieviously.
"Anything to make this day less of a drag"

"Ok! It's settled then! (Y/N)! We're helping you with your crush!" Ino declares.
"W...what?" You squeaked.
"Come on! It's the perfect team-bonding activity! And we both get something out of it, you'll get Kiba as your boyfriend and I have one less girl to worry about competing for Sasuke's affection. Think about it, you and Kiba, together~" Ino wiggled her eyebrows suggestively while you began thinking about all the coupely things you and Kiba could do. You holding his arm during a stroll in the park and laughing at something he said with Akamaru at your heels, eating lunch together, your thoughts just kept getting cuter and cuter until you felt like you were going to explode.
