The End Of The World

March 12th.

"Mommy!"

"Yes, Emerson?"

"When is daddy coming home?"

"Friday!"

"Our daddy is filming a movie because he's famous!  My daddy is a movie star!" Willow exclaims.

"You're so cute!  Yes, and he misses you both terribly!  But he'll be back soon!"

"But then you and daddy are going to Tubai."

"Dubai.  Yes we are, but you'll have the whole weekend with daddy!"

"I'm sad because he missed our whole spring break!"

"Oh I know, honey.  But he had to work.  Remember he promised to make it up to you both during the summer."

"Yeah but.. it still Sucks!"

"Oh Willow!  Stop saying that word!"

Just then Jessica's cell phone rings.

"Just a second, you two.  Go play before we leave, okay?"

"Kay!" The twins then run off.

"Hello, honey!" Jessica answers.

"Hey Babydoll!  How are you?"

"Pretty good.  How's it going over there?"

"Okay.  Have you seen the news?"

"No Danny, it's Pee Wee's Playhouse over here.  All that's on are cartoons."

"Oh.."

"Why?  What's wrong?"

"Well remember that virus I was telling you about?"

"Yeah, Miller Lite or something like that?"

"The Coronavirus.  Anyway, there are more reported cases today."

"Really?  Well I'll tell you what this is, Daniel.  It's the government!  They are behind everything!" Jessica then begins whispering. "They're even listening right now!"

"Jess, this is serious!  I think we need to postpone the trip."

"WHAT?!  My trip to Dubai?!" Jessica shouts.

"Yes!  Jessica, so many people are sick, and Dying!  We have a son and daughter in law in the medical field, we have little ones, we NEED to be home!"

"We'll talk about it when you get home.  But honestly, I think this will blow over in a week."

"I'm telling you this is only the beginning!"

"Yeah, okay.  Get back to work.  I'll call you tonight.  I'm taking the kids to the park."

"Don't you dare take them out there!  There are so many germs there!"

"There are germs here too.  What's your point?"

"Jessica Lange, you keep those babies in the house!  I'm putting my foot down, now you better listen!"

"Alright!  Now bye, you're annoying the shit out of me!"

Just as Jessica hangs up, the twins run in.

"Mommy, can we leave now?  I wanna have our picnic!" Emerson says.

"You know what, Em?  Why don't we have our picnic in the backyard?"

"The backyard?  Mom, that sucks!"

"Not you too!  Don't say that word, Emerson."

"Why can't we goooo?" He whines.

"Because daddy said it's safer to stay home."

"Daddy isn't here.  We don't have to listen to him." Willow shrugs.

"Yeah but-"

"MOM!" Both Anastasia and Isaiah run down.  Anastasia holding Annabelle, and Isaiah holding Harvey mid diaper change.

"What's wrong?  And why is Harvey naked?"

"My pee pee Gamma!" Harvey laughs and covers his private parts.

"They closed the schools for the next two weeks!"

"Alright!" Emerson jumps up and down.

"WOO HOO!  Another spring break!" Willow cheers.

"No Willow, this is bad!  We could die!" Anastasia then turns to the tv and shouts. "WHY DON'T YOU HAVE IT ON THE NEWS?!"

"Why is everyone loosing their SHIIIIT?!"

"Gamma silly!" Harvey laughs.

"Mom, we have to go out and buy masks, soap, food, and water!  We don't know how long this will last!"

"Anastasia, calm down, please.  You're going to be fine.  Everyone is going to be fine, okay?"

Gabriella then swings the front door open with two kids following behind.
"The world is ending!"

"I KNOW!" Both Isaiah and Anastasia shout, Anastasia almost in tears.

Willow then lifts her hands and shouts, "THIS FAMILY IS DRIVING ME NUUUUUTS!"
