Damon and I took the vampire cure a couple years ago, more like eight or nine. I have everything I want. The home, the career, the husband and most importantly, I have the family I have always dreamed up.

I finally make it home from a long day of work, being a therapist is hard and demanding on one person. Before I come around the corner and see my little family I stop and listen to husband and baby girl talk.

"Can I have some candy, dad?"

"You know the rules."

"No candy before dinner?"

"No those are mommy's rule, my rule is that you have to bring me one too."
